I bought this generator for house backup power. Great features with tri-fuel option, and 50 amp capable to power many circuits in the house simultaneously.

Easy setup and runs great!

Generator arrived sooner than expected and It was easy to setup. I’m running on propane and started easily and runs lime a champ. Using to power the house when the neighborhood looses power which happens every winter.

Awesome machine. After Helene left us powerless. We needed New Bessie here...She's a beast. Powered the whole house minus the oven. Only used with natural gas so far.

Quieter and more efficient than expected

I bought this unit a month ago after doing a lot of research on tri-fuel portable generators. I already had a tap put on my gas meter and my 50 amp connection to my house panel from my previous smaller tri-fuel unit. The generator I had before was 6900 peak and 5500 running watts on natural gas. It could comfortably run most of my 2100 sqft house including a could window AC units and portable AC units but we were certainly at it's maximum capacity with so much running. The biggest problem was that our new 4 ton central AC couldn't run since it would trip the breaker on the generator when it would try to kick on. This Westinghouse unit is able to start the big AC system even when the rest of my electric panel is on and the freezers and everything are running. It can run every part of my house as far as I know. I haven't tried running the dryer, stove, and AC at the same time so I can't verify that for sure. I bought this unit after comparing multiple in the same size range and this was by far the best value for size of any of them. There's another brand that has a 15k unit almost identical but the natural gas side isn't much bigger at all than this one. Also that brand needs a 3/4 inch gas line and this one runs on a 1/2 inch line. There's so many things that I already knew were better on this unit (THD is so much lower than other brands and not much higher than what's considered inverter levels, more efficient based on fuel usage per load ratings on each manufacturer website, cost, ability to remote start it, and more). I was not aware that the unit would be not much louder than my smaller previous unit. Don't get me wrong, is certainly not inverter level on noise but it's also not nearly as loud as I would expect. I can't wait to build a ventilated generator house for it and sound proof it even more.

This is my second WGen series generator. I loved the first one so much I brought it to my mom’s house and purchased a 2nd unit for my house, this time with a natural gas inlet. They’re convenient, easy to maneuver and handle! Will continue to support Westinghouse products !!

I bought this generator earlier this month. The auto start is exceptional and holding 10 gallons of fuel makes this generator top notch. For the weight this generator is easy to move around.
