WGen11500TFc - Definitely worth it!

Although power outages are not common where I live, I wanted to be prepared for when it does. After a lot of research I decided on the WGen11500TFc for two main reasons: 1) Low THD and 2) Natural Gas support. I have sine wave UPS systems for most computer equipment but there are still plenty of electronics that are susceptible to dirty, non-sine wave power. With the low THD of this generator, I have the peace of mind that there is a lower chance of damage to electronics. Regarding Natural Gas, I have an unlimited supply of fuel without the storage risks and hassle of trying to buy Gasoline or Propane when businesses will also be without power. As a bonus, the battery has a trickle charger included.

Well built portable generator.

I bought this generator a month ago after my old generator decided to quit working. I am excited for the multiple fuel options. Following the instructions it was easy to assemble and test run the generator. I feel relieved that I now have a dependable generator if I need it. I highly recommend Westinghouse brand generators.

THD < 5% & thoughtful battery details!

I bought this generator b/c I had another brand with almost as much power, BUT found out it’s THD was ~ 22%!! (Explains why my home electronics didn’t like it & UPS would alarm). THIS Westinghouse is advertised to have < 5% Total Harmonic Distortion (almost as good as inverters advertising < 3%). Happy to be able to watch TV now when the power is out now! I also like the easy access to the battery (competitor model had a panel in the way), appreciate the quick connect/disconnect for the battery to keep it from going flat so fast, and they even included a trickle charger/maintainer with a simple port to plug it into in case you just want to leave it ready-to-go! Good job Westinghouse!

Leaks oil the first time I started it.
