RUNS EVERYTHING!

Bought this gen for whole-home standby power. Built a custom enclosure and did a semi-permanent install with an interlock kit on my panel and an inlet box to connect to my home. Ran proper wiring and plumbing for natural gas and gave it a shot. It runs everything in my 2000sq ft home. All lighting/120v receptacles, clothes dryer, 4-ton heat pump (w/hard start--no heat strips), 2-ton minisplit heatpump/ac in attached garage, microwave, etc. The only thing I've yet to try is to run my dryer and my hvac unit at the same time. On paper, that would overload the gen capacity so I didn't even try it. It does run one at a time just fine on natural gas. I'm very pleased with my purchase. The remote start feature makes it possible to bring my home up on gen power without ever having to go out in the weather.

Love the power this puts out

Had this Westinghouse 14500 installed yesterday 04/13/2025 and ran just about everything we threw at it for the test. We are quite impressed with it and a fraction of the cost for other other name brand full house generators and didn't break the bank. We are very pleased with this installation and purchase!

Received tri-fuel generator ahead of schedule. Box was in excellent condition. Open box found all part and instructions. Generator was easy to assemble. I’ll be using generator with natural gas. Made connections and started generator. It started right up, then used remote which worked great. I would definitely recommend this generator.

This is my second Westinghouse generator. We had to go bigger. Just like the first one, right out of the box it was a dream to set up, started on the first try, and has all of the features that we need. The original still works great after 5 years too!

Excellent Tri-Fuel Generator – Reliable, Powerful

I’ve been really impressed with the Westinghouse WGen10500TFc. One of the main reasons I chose this model is that it runs on propane, which makes maintenance much easier than using gasoline — no worries about stale fuel or gummed-up carbs. The added bonus of a natural gas hookup is great too, offering long-term flexibility for emergency power.
The electric start works perfectly, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I’ve come to appreciate the remote start/stop key fob — I didn’t think I’d use it, but it’s incredibly convenient, especially during bad weather or nighttime outages.
As for the noise, it’s about what you’d expect from a generator this size — no louder than any others I’ve used or heard nearby. Totally manageable, especially with proper placement.
The large capacity is perfect for running through an inlet plug and interlock kit, and it handles most of the essentials in my house without issue during an outage: lights, fridge, freezer, well pump, and more.
Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s a solid, reliable unit that brings peace of mind during emergencies. Five stars.
