Quiet running generator.

Purchased a Westinghouse iGen 12000TFC. Asked Westinghouse for a guide how to float the neutral, and they send it by mail the next day. Ran it on propane for the first time yesterday. Started right up on the first start. Had it warm up for a bit before connecting it to the house through a transfer switch. Had it run under a low load for 30 min. Then a bit under medium load. Very happy with how quiet it is. The build quality looks solid.

Great Quality - Floating bond could be improved.

Good: Impressed with the quality. Purchased to run my home as a backup using Natural Gas as the primary. Fired up on the very first start. Easily handles critical items in the home.
Needs improvement: The generator comes with bonded neutral ground. In order to hook it up to my home, I needed to float the bond, which in other generators is relatively easy to do. This one is a pain. It requires partially removing the inverter assembly and control panel to remove the bonded wire. The clearances on the frame to get the inverter assembly back in were too tight. A task that would take a few minutes on other generators took over an hour for this one. They could have easily designed to make removing that bond more accessible as it is a fairly common requirement for those who want to use these for home electrical back-up.
Overall very happy with my choice.

Packed securely -electric started on first try Propane - very quiet under no-load - access doors might be an issue after material contracts - good instructions

So far so good I just received this unboxed it and put the oil in it and ran it for a couple minutes. It started right up. Looking forward to the break-in.

Easy to setup, runs quiet.

So far, exceptionally easy to setup, all tools provided. Tested running on propane, no issues starting and surprised how quite it runs. Purchased due to low THD rating, nice that now my UPS's don't complain when using this generator compared to my old one.
