Starts right up

Generator started right up on the first try. Instructions could be a little more clear ... seems like a lot of buttons and displays on the generator ... and takes me a while to find everything in the user manual.
Quite quiet.
Like that I can use propane and not gasoline (which would just clog up the gears and needs additional maintenance every year like my snowblower does.)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to setup and use

Bought this a month ago, haven't had to use it in real world application yet. But under test conditions had been great so far. Easy to setup, easy to connect and supplies power as needed.

Set-up and Break-In

I bought the unit for back-up power in the event of a power outage. I have set it up, added oil, and ran for the break-in period. I had an electrician add an female inlet plug, a 50 amp breaker and a generator interlock. So far, so good. I have had no problems as yet.

All the features I wanted at a competitive price

We live in the Northeast and with the crazy winter weather, we lose power more than we used to. We wanted a generator with an inverter and this was the best one for us! Easy to move around, too.

A purchase with confidence: iGen11000DFC

So, the process began with the realization that our residence needed a reliable backup means of power should the electrical grid go down for any length of time. The dual fuel option with the iGen11000 was a must. The other attractions were the unit's capacity, the inverter aspect that affords greater safely to electronic equipment and excellent reviews regarding the quality of the Westinghouse motors that power their generators. After my "setup" is complete, I may muse with a degree of confidence that ready benefits will be reaped when the need arises.

Just received my IGen11000DFc. Took less than a 1/2 hour to unbox, put the handle and wheels on add oil, connect the battery. Was going to charge the battery but decided to give it a try and there was enough power to fire up. It is actually quieter than my 5200W open frame. I like the duel fuel option and will be trying it on propane at the cabin this spring. It will be used for backup power at the house for winter.

This is my second Westinghouse generator (but first inverter). I am even happier with this one because the inverter maintains 60hz and responds well to changing loads. I am especially happy that the system can be controlled by my home battery backup system to start and stop recharging as needed. Runs well on gas and propane.
