So far I am largely impressed, but things to note

I bought this generator after deliberating long and hard. It was a tough purchase because it is a lot of money for something just used in the event of a hurricane. That said, so far I am pretty impressed, but there are a couple of items that should be brought up.
The generator is built quite nice. It is definitely VERY heavy, but I feel like there was some thought and effort on the product. I like the covers on each side and how they latch. I really like how the oil drain was connected to a hose, as well as the carb gas drain (the gas drain was particularly nice). I really like all of the information provided on the panel, including the fuel level which is really nice.
Some of the things that were disappointing considering the positives:
1. There is an oil filter on this unit. It is in the exact same place as the DFc model however there is some sort of big cylinder directly in the way in front of it. I am not sure what this is, but the DFc doesn't seem to have it from the videos I have seen, so I assume it has to do with the Natural Gas part of the unit. It is a little bit of a pain to remove as it requires a 10mm wrench and has limited movement. On such a well thought out generator, this seems to be a rushed item and makes the access to the filter a bit inconvenient.
2. This generator wasn't cheap but came with quite a bit of stuff. The one thing that it didn't come with that I was disappointed about was a cover. This was a HUGE miss. I plan on storing this in my garage and I am going to have to buy my own cover now.
3. It would be nice if the dipstick was magnetic to help keep the engine oil as clean as possible
4. The eco mode barely changes the idle speed at all (it may not even change it at all). I don't know what this switch does at this point as I expected a serious reduction in RPMs to help save gas (I was testing this with no load at all).
It seems to be a very good generator. I just finished my 5 hour break-in period and changed the oil. Despite the disappointments above, I am hoping that overall it will prove itself to be a great unit.

Seems like solid build. Works as expected. One little thing about recoil start. Too much resistance. So, I would like to say recoil start is only for real emergency start, when the battery dead. I realized that happens because the engine is pretty powerful and has relatively big displacement. So consider this and keep the battery charged by included charger. I already have 3.5 kwt generator, it was alright for short outages, i could keep running my fridge, boiler and heat, watch tv. However it was not powerful enough for AC and stove range. This unit produces 9 kwt. I can use it for stove and AC. My old central AC consumes a lot of starting amps and generator switches of power because of overload, but its not a big issue for me. I'm planning to install a new mini split invertor ac. Also, i can install a soft start for my old one. Over all i'm happy of purchase.

Very Impressed

I've owned a Briggs and Stratton Q6500 inverter/gen for a few years but wanted to upgrade my starting/running watts as well as starting options. I narrowed it down to the iGen11000 or the Champion 11,000 inv/gen. They were fairly comparable but the reason I chose the iGen was the placement of the exhaust as I wanted the control panel facing my garage and the Champion had a side/right facing exhaust. Having the exhaust pointing away from my garage was key. Also, since everybody should perform regular maintenance, having all maintenance points located behind easily removable side panels was also a deciding factor. Once I installled the handle/feet/wheels and gassed/oil it up, I tried out the remote. I was able to start the gen from about 80 feet away inside my upstairs bedroom, which is seriously impressive. This thing is quiet, I mean really impressively quiet for a generator with this amount of power. Measured about 72db standing next to it and about 65 from about 20 feet away, but can't even hear it in the house at all. It's even quieter than my B/S Q6500 with "quiet power technology", so there's that. Love the layout of the control panel as well. Everything just seems to be well thought out on this model. The only minor concern is that the quick start mentions being about to run the float bowl dry by turning the knob to Fuel Off. On other brands/models, when doing this the gen will continue to run for a short while in order to run the fuel out but this model just turns off. There's no way that I can see to run the fuel out before storing it except for manually draining, which I would only do if storing for a long period of time. Not sure what the "fuel off" selection is for as it turns the gen off like hitting the Start/Stop button. But, minor complaint and very happy with my purchase.
