I'm using this generator as a backup power source. Just had it installed yesterday. Everything was included in the box to install it, except for the electrical cord (which I think is standard procedure). It fired up right away and works nicely with the remote. It runs on three different types of fuels. I'm running it on propane. When I looked at reviews prior to purchase, there were several stating that not enough oil was supplied. Mine had sufficient quantity to fill the generator. I'm looking forward to many years of service.

Great match for our needs

The setup, usage, and maintenance of this generator has been easy and problem free. Running from propane is an appealing feature and makes keeping a supply available much simpler than dealing with gasoline. Powers the whole house.

I bought the Westinghouse 13,000 Peak 10,500 continuous watt generator 3 days ago. I had it shipped to store, It arrived within 40 hours of ordering it, which was amazing with all the power outages in my area. It arrived undamaged and all accessories were in the box. I put in the oil and gas. It started up first crank! Runs great and powers everything I wanted. I did a lot of research and decided to go with the Westinghouse. No regrets! Highly Recommend it!

I compared several models and this particular due to the size and many features such as the extra option to hook up to my pre existing natural gas connection, that combined with the key fob makes it very convenient to remotely start and stop unit. Great product for the power and versatile features.

Received this within a week after a few major storms in our area.
I am a first time buyer of a portable generator after all of these years.
Crazy to think right.... especially living in Texas.
I did extensive research on portable home generators and Westinghouse was at the top of the list each time.
I unpacked this jewel yesterday. It weighed a bit but I managed to assemble with no issues. Assembly was simple. You're only assembling the feet with bolts / nuts and wheels which are a pin, washer and cotter pin.
I'm confident in its ability to do what it is supposed to do based on previous buyers / reviews.
This is a well built product and solid all around.
Glad to support a brand that has been around for generations!

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES NEED BETTER CLARIFICATION

One of the recommended accessories offered at Lowes when I ordered my new generator was the transfer switch (picture attached). It wasn't until I had an electrician come out to install the switch that I was informed that it had to be installed INSIDE (the electrician pointed that fact out to me in the Transfer Switch instruction / installation manual. My breaker box is located outside, and my generator must be outside during operation, so I don't understand why they sell a Transfer Switch that must be installed inside. Makes no sense to me. I have not been able to operate the generator yet, due to the above issue. I will need to use a Generator Interlock Device instead of this Transfer Switch. I wish they would have made it clear that this must be installed inside. Oh well, live & learn
