Peace of Mind

I bought this generator in the hope that I won't need to use it often. Living on the gulf coast during Hurricane season it's almost a necessity. Being large enough to run multiple appliances, small enough to be easily moved and operating on three fuels make this a good choice for emergencies.

Perfect generator unit

After comparing several brands of generators I found the Westinghouse to be the best value. The ease of starting the unit was a deciding factor along with the option of tri-fuel operation. I recommend this product to anyone who needs temporary power.

Great Value with Dual Fuel

EZ to set up - just install the wheels and floor bumper pads, fill with oil. Hook up to a propane tank and it started right up. Won’t be using it unless a hurricane hits and I hope it doesn’t. But if it does this 50 amp service should run my whole house excluding the AC of course.

Amazing Generaton

I just recently purchased this generator after reading excellent reviews online. This generator is heavy duty and the construction is very solid. I found that Westinghouse upgrade my unit 10500 TFC dual to ( Tri Fuel ), so I was pretty happy. Now I'm going to be prepared for this up coming hurricane season to give electricity to my entire house with amazing generator. Great product highly recommend.

We finally have our first backup generator to have on hand for power outages. The plan is to have our panel updated to accept the 50A plug to run bare essentials for the house during extended power outages. For now, I wanted to make sure it would start up and work. This item is heavy. At least 2 people needed to lift and move it around while in the box. Once home, assembly was VERY straight forward and not complicated. I finally had time today to fire it up for the first time. I decided to try propane, since I had a cylinder ready to go and didn't want to have to drain the float/tank for just a trial run. With the propane connected, I pressed the Start button for 2 seconds, you can hear clicking going on, it tried to start. It didn't. It proceeded to try again on its own and it started up the 2nd time (I'm sure it's due to air in the line for the propane feed). I plugged in the garage fridge via extension cord just to put a light load on it and it ran fine. 30 minutes of running, no issues. Shut down per the instructions, cooled it off, then back in the garage it goes. I'll find time over the next few weeks to run it 30 mins to an hour just to get the break-in hours done (no more than 50% load) so that when the power is really out, it will be ready to go full power. Honestly, for the available wattage, you can't beat this price compared to DuroPower.
