I haven't had to use it yet but glad i bought it as not having electric because of a storm in Texas is terrible

I purchased the Westinghouse WGen10500DFc as a backup power source for my home, and so far I couldn't be happier. Assembly was straightforward, and everything needed to get started was included. It fired up quickly on the first start and runs smoothly on both gasoline and propane.
One of the biggest reasons I chose this generator was the dual-fuel capability. Having the option to use either gasoline or propane gives me peace of mind during extended power outages. The remote start is another feature I didn't realize I'd appreciate so much until I used it.
The generator has more than enough power to run the essentials in my home, and I like the built-in CO sensor for the added safety. The control panel is well laid out, making it easy to connect everything and monitor operation.
I also completed the recommended engine break-in and changed the oil after the first several hours. The oil came out clean with no metal debris, which gave me confidence in the engine's build quality.
Overall, this generator feels well-built, starts easily, and delivers plenty of reliable power at a very competitive price. If you're looking for a dependable whole-home backup generator with the flexibility of dual fuel, I would definitely recommend the Westinghouse WGen10500DFc.

Great inexpensive whole home generator

I love this generator. I live in Texas, where the ERCOT grid is becoming more and more strained due to population growth and more weather related events like flooding, freezing and extreme heat. This generator is powerful enough to run my entire home and 1 of myAC units. I work for a PUC so I’m expected to work during disasters and I really love the dual fuel option because it’s much easier for my wife to power the generator with propane while I’m at work. My previous generator required her to pour gasoline from a 5 gallon tank that was too heavy for her and to manually pull the recoil handle to start the engine. This one allows her to simply connect a propane tank and click the remote to start using it. It gives her me so much piece of mind knowing that we’ll have power and be safe during brown and black outs. Great product.
