I am getting to old to try and hand start with a cord. I bought this so I could start the generator easier.

best generator ever, strong, give alternatives

I love my generator, easy maintenance, lower noise (70 decibel ) with muffler kit, strong for whole house, I also install a shed outside (you tube) video ideas, and a air condition unit (easy start). It's cheaper than Generac's, no worry about lost power anymore.
