I grew up with steel sided Coleman coolers in the 60s and 70s. I recently dug it out of my parents' basement, but the plastic was smelly and brittle, and not really usable any longer. I was happy to be able to still buy a classic style steel sided cooler. Thanks!

Misleading

I'd been wanting a cooler like this for long time. My company gives really cool awards from a catalog for every 5 years service. Each time the awards are more expensive. For my 15 years service I chose this cooler because it stated up to 4 days staying cold. It doesn't. Ice is melted by the end of 1st day. Still cold into the 2nd day but you have to drain water and add more ice. My lighter plastic cooler with wheels did just as good. Soooooo disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooler was better than I ever expected, Coleman still makes um like they use to. we left Friday night for opening day of trout season in mid April, three days later most of the ice was still present. cant go wrong with this one.

Would give it 5 stars if it had a bottle opener, like some other models...doesn't even have an option to easily install one aftermarket.
