Plastic and broke

Within 1 month of use every weekend the latch wears out. Dose not seal good / poor quality latch. Latch is plastic junk strange due to the rest of the ice chest looks bullet proof. You need to pre ice the chest or your ice will melt fast.

Love the look and the ability to keep cool

Love this cooler! We have had this for 3 years and it still is in amazing condition. The powder blue retro look is awesome. The cooler keeps things cold and ice stays in this well. It’s nice to see there are coolers that are as technically pleasing and keeps things cool. The Yeti that everyone loves is honestly hideous.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Buy a Coleman Marine Cooler instead

I have had this cooler for 4 years. I have a Jeep with zero air conditioning or air flow so I need this daily in our typical humid New Jersey summers. I'd return my black steal belted cooler if I could. I would get a Coleman Marine Cooler instead. This steel belted cooler looks nice, but the paint is already rusting 4 years after very moderate use. The exterior dents easily. The ice retention is 2.5 days at the most. Thank goodness there's a drain. This was an impulse buy that I regret. If I'd have done the research I'd have gotten something else. Just because this looks good doesn't means it performs well. Goodluck everyone.

The latch doesn’t stay locked. It is not like the old coolers and when the latch is engaged and “locked” in place the lid can still be pulled open. Took this on a 10-day road/camping trip. I was careful to keep another cooler on top of it. I didn't want to have the racoon's test it out. Other than that it worked great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cheaply made - broke quickly - no support

Steel latch mechanism broke, making it impossible to close, after about 5 vacations worth of use.
Reached out to Coleman for help; they gave me a Salesforce link to upload pictures of the issue to get a replacement, and then they ghosted me: didn't reach out for more information, didn't send a new cooler -- crickets.
The vintage look makes you think it's an heirloom quality piece.
It is a lookalike that's poorly made and you won't get the support you'd expect from a brand that stands behind its quality.

Looks good, lacking in quality

I have owned this cooler, the stainless steel color version, for about ten years now. I use the cooler 1 - 2 times per year. A few years back, the plastic inside the lid handle pulled out and broke when I tried to latch it. Also the steel pelting and petal hardware are starting to show signs of rust. Looks great but lacking in quality.

Bang for Buck Texas Tough!

I bought this cooler to carry in the bed of my truck. I live in south Texas. 103°F in the shade about 113°F in the sun. I put 1 case of water and 20lbs of ice on Friday morning. Sunday morning there was still a little ice and the waters were still very cold. The cooler sits on direct sun all day. I've had other coolers that the ice melts by lunchtime. I love this little guy. The no tilt drain, the stainless shell painted green makes it a looker. Metal handles. Man, I bought a cable lock because I get asked about it so much I'm afraid of it walking away. I absolutely would suggest this cooler to friends and family. We'll done Coleman.
