LONG LASTING

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned one of these Steel Belted Coolers for some time now. The one I have is a good 15 to 20 years old and in still great shape I don't bother buying those plastic coolers any more these are much more durable...

Grew up with the best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Years ago, many years ago my Dad owned this Steel Belted Colman Cooler. For years this cooler went with us for a day at the lake and camping weekends in the mountains. One day at the lake, someone decided they liked that cooler and removed it from the truck bed. We sure missed that cooler, it was with us for many years. I highly recommend this Steel Belted Cooler.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While it may not keep ice the longest, it excels at taking you back to old memories of camping with dad. The steel construction is tops and mine is already gathering stickers from all of the places me and my kids have camped.

The Latch makes the difference

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looking at this cooler takes me back to when I was a very young boy. My father had a Coleman cooler that he mounted on the tongue of our old camper to save space and keep our food. Well we took a trip to Yellowstone national park and of course there are bears there. So one night while we were sleeping a bear decided to roam the campgrounds and decided our cooler was a good source for food. The bear as clever as they are figured out how to flip the latch to open the cooler and get our food. Funny thing is there were two fresh trout in the cooler but all the bear wanted was the eggs and butter ! True story I swear. The cooler did NOT sustain any damage and we enjoyed the remainder of our vacation. The cooler did hold our food well and kept temperatures low enough that we never had any spoilage - except the bear ! I have also donated my beloved 50 quart wheeled cooler to my daughter so she can transport groceries to her apartment from wherever she has to park (she is a renter in the city) and she loves the ease and portability while keeping her food safe

Beautiful and does an exceptional job!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had seen this cooler in the outlet over two years ago and just loved the retro colors, but didn't buy one. After we left the store my husband and I agreed we should have bought it since we have one that is at least 40 years old and the bottom of it is starting to crack and deteriorate. It had served us very well! On our way to Louisiana to visit friends this spring, we decided to stop and buy one. We are so glad we did! Our friends had a crawfish boil the next day. In the morning we equally filled two coolers (our new Steel Belted Coleman and a cooler our friends had) with soft drinks, beer and ice and put them on their enclosed porch. The next morning when we went to empty the coolers, the Steel Belted Coleman still had ice and their cooler had a puddle of warm water. This beautiful Steel Belted Coleman now goes with us on every trip we make! We just love it!

A Classic that is still SOLID!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 54 quart steel belted cooler is a Coleman classic. The product is the best for trips to the beach, camping, tailgates, or even if the fridge goes out! I've had mine for a few years and it has a few dings and dents but it gives the cooler that much more character. The large capacity fits everything you need for a weekend outing and keeps things cold for hours. It's a good looking product and yearns to be on an adventure. In fact, I think I'm going to take my cooler to the beach right now! :)

Keeps food cold for days

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Went camping with my family in July and my cooler kept the old good and cold where as the other coolers wasn’t good , had to keep buying ice . Only problem we have had is the lid latch broke and I need to get it replaced

Little Red cooler thwarts the Big Bad Wolf

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased first Coleman products, Gas camp stove and Gas lantern, about 40 years ago. Thru the years other Coleman products have been added to enhance the experence of out door recreation including the Red Steel Belted Cooler. This cooler has served me well in the numerous excursions it has been taken on. Latching mechanism has keep many nocturnal critters from helping them selves to a free meal.
