Horrible ice retention!

I bought 4 of these for hauling liquids to a large birthday party up north. Drinks and coolers were kept indoors in A/C conditions before adding drinks and ice. 5 hours later all ice was melted. Got up north and had to buy MORE ice for all 4 coolers. $$$. Is there a way to increase the insulation in these coolers?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Use block ice or a mix of block and cube ice: Block ice melts more slowly than cubes.
Keep it packed full: A full cooler retains cold longer, so minimize air gaps.
Limit openings: Try to keep the lid closed as much as possible.
Add an insulating layer: Lining the inside top with a reflective layer (like a towel or insulating mat) can help reduce warm air intrusion when opening.

Would not buy again

At first, was great, gor extreme light duty it could stay great.
However Lid warped within less than 2 months, wouldn't keep ice very well anymore, and the half inch screws that go into the plastic lid, are not very sturdy.

Great cooler. Keep a drinks and food cold during camping trips or trips to the ball field. It is average weight but extremely durable. A great addition for your weekend adventure of all kinds.

A trust where they’re cooler, I always fill this with ice cans and bottles at parties. It looks cool. People could serve themselves. It’s practical and easy to keep clean. Highly recommend this brand.

Keeps cold, great size

We use this for our milk run to the dairy an hour away. It keeps the milk cold and is large enough for our six gallons that we put in it. No need for ice to keep the cold milk cold for our hour drive.
