Great kitchen helper!

I bought this system because it went on sale and I love it so much. I got rid of my 3 older small appliances for this one and it works so good. I really like the sensing and it's ability to tell you when to add more liquid to a smoothie. Exactly what I was hoping for.

Disappointed

I am very disappointed with this blender and am not sure why it gets such high ratings. I read endless reviews on blenders and decided to go with this one based on all the options and blendsense technology. Sadly, it did not live up to the hype. For starters the single serve cup is huge (way bigger then past models and what appears to be pictured). Although it is nice that you can walk away and not hold it down, it requires you to make a very liquidity smoothie to not have the add liquid warning go off and does not handle frozen fruit well. To make it worse, after just a few months it is making a loud ear piercing noise. It is so bad we have to leave the room and our ears ring after using it.
The blender seems to work ok but like others mentioned glass would be preferred. The food processor blade is very dull and does not mix properly or anywhere close to my big cuisanart. I was hoping not to have to pull anther appliance out all the time and why I opted for this. The shredding blade is also way too fine.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this, especially for the price. I will be contacting them about my warranty based on the deafening noise it makes.
