This phone has wonderful clarity when gaming and taking pictures actually became fun. The phones pictures are clear you can download them to Sim card and take anywhere to get them printed and they look like professional pictures. Loving my phone , I hope you do too.

phone locks up UI stops responding

The UI not responding message pops up 10 to 15 times daily. Program name not responding pops up also.
The software updates removes settings that are annoying to many people like auto complete spellcheck . One of the worst phones as it locks up software if too much is running such as a continuous glucose meter like Libre 3 and audio books. Within 45 minutes restarting the phone is necessary since it seems to be out of memory or a memory leak.

The Galaxy A17 5G offers 5G connectivity, a large immersive display, and convenient Galaxy software features for everyday use. However, experiencing an unresponsive interface while running important apps can disrupt your daily routine, especially when relying on the Galaxy A17 5G for critical background health software like the Freestyle Libre 3 alongside your audiobooks.
A corrupted cache partition or a glitch in the interface app may cause the system interface to loop and crash, which can lead to "not responding" errors. To resolve this, you can try the following steps:
Clear the System UI Cache:
- Open Settings > Apps.
- Tap the small "Sort/Filter" icon next to "Your apps" and toggle on Show system apps.
- Scroll down to System UI, select Storage, and tap Clear cache.
- Repeat this process for the One UI Home app.
Exclude the Libre 3 App from Battery Optimization:
Android's aggressive memory management can forcefully close or freeze apps that use too much power. To ensure the Libre 3 app runs smoothly:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Libre 3.
- Tap on Battery.
- Change the setting from Optimized to Unrestricted. This prevents the phone from disrupting the app's memory thread, which can often cause "not responding" issues.
Restore Predictive Text Settings:
Major software updates sometimes reset your settings. You can manually restore predictive text by:
- Going to Settings > General Management > Samsung Keyboard settings.
- Look for Predictive text and Auto replace, then toggle them on.
- Ensure that Suggest text corrections is fully enabled for English (or your preferred language).

Every one freezes up and the screen cracks n breaks so easily. Its a total nightmare, I wouldnt suggest the device/phone ever!! There's a reason they basically try to give them away!!!!
