[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: Performs reliably for gaming and everyday use, screen is clear, and easy to carry around, works with newer games Cons: It can get a little warm when running intensive programs
Battery life is average (expected for a gaming laptop) Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for portability and decent performance!!

What a wonderful machine. Such a powerhouse with the Ryzen 9 series for Zen 5 architecture, 4060 RTX card, 32 GB ram, 2TB SSD, and wifi6. This machine can replace your PC and more. The 14” screen is very clean and crisp, ensuring a wonderful experience out of the box. Would recommend to anyone in the market looking to upgrade or replace their current rig.

Top Tier Gaming Laptop
on December 10, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a top tier gaming laptop. This is the first gaming laptop I’ve personally owned. The design is very sleek, it’s light and easy to move around. I currently have it hooked up to a monitor and keyboard and it performs well. The battery life is good when being used as a laptop. However once you run a large game it dies pretty quickly. It does work amazing if it is kept plugged in. The cooling system is fabulous. The computer never feels warm and stays perfectly cool. The display and graphics is amazing. It completely beats the monitor I own. I still need to mess around with it and learn it but I will say this is absolutely worth the price and it’s an awesome computer.

Good processor, good build

I bought this laptop 2weeks ago.And it is build good.Good performance.
· Excellent quality and vibrant, accurate colors with excellent viewing angles
· Love how there are different GameVisual Effects (Vibrant, Cinema, Default, etc.)
Although this 2560 x 1600 (2.5K) display looks gorgeous with a fast refresh rate of 165Hz and a 3ms response time (perfect for gaming), the 2024 13” Apple iPad Pro (M4) outperforms this display with stunning color reproduction that really pops and delights. I really appreciate the matte look versus the glossy look, which produces that nasty glare. For a non-OLED screen, this display truly impresses!
Performance
· AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (2.0GHz/5.1 GHz (Max Boost)/12 Cores)/32GB RAM/2 TB SSD: Fast and responsive for everyday tasks and productivity.
· Radeon 890M Graphics/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU: Hybrid Graphics –Integrated/Dedicated: Innovative solution to meet your computing/gaming needs. I briefly tested out its gaming performance with the dedicated GPU, and it’s able to run some demanding games in Ultra Mode. However, it does get a bit hot when running in Turbo Mode with dedicated graphics enabled. Tradeoff: Battery life will be compromised with intensive graphics applications.
· Battery Life: Impressive battery life up to 10 hours with everyday tasks; With the dedicated GPU enabled, battery performance will take a hit. Battery may be charged to 80% with Battery Care Mode (via MyASUS app) enabled to improve its longevity.
Connectivity
· (1x) HDMI 2.1
· (2x) USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
· (1x) USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
· (1x) Type-C USB 4
· MicroSD Card Reader
· 3.5mm Headphone Jack
Keyboard/Trackpad
· Chiclet Style with backlit keyboard
· Dedicated Armoury Crate/Copilot Keys
· Easy to type on and satisfying feel to keys and trackpad
· Remains relatively cool under normal operating conditions
· Screen can be slightly flexed
Miscellaneous
· Sleek, stylish, and aesthetically-pleasing. I love the beautiful look of this laptop.
· Windows 11 Home
· Fast, reliable Wi-Fi 6E
· Windows Copilot (AI)
· nVidia G-Sync
· Quality AC Adapter
· Supports Dolby Atmos/Hi-Res Audio. Audio sounds quite good for a laptop.
· Built-in 1080P Webcam; Wish it had a 4K Webcam, but it’s not a deal-breaker.
· Unique 180-degree Hinge Design
· Microsoft Office Trial / McAfee Trial / Complimentary 90-Days PC Game Pass
· 1-Year Warranty
Final Thoughts?
The ASUS TUF Gaming A14 Laptop may be tiny, but it’s big on performance. Packing a slim, sleek design, gorgeous 14” display, solid all-around performance (including the ability to game!/great battery life), and weighing only 3.22 lbs, it’s perfect for your mobile lifestyle. It seems to be built to last, and it’s perfect for both work or play (gaming). I love that you can switch graphics processing based on your needs; that’s a really cool and innovative feature. You get great bang for the buck. Hands-down, this may very well be the best 14” gaming laptop! It reminds me of the quality of my Sony VAIO…but with gaming capabilities.
Thus far, I haven’t encountered any major issues. The only minor issue I’ve faced so far is a frozen mouse cursor. A simple restart fixed that issue.
One time my pinned Excel files mysteriously disappeared, but then later came back after a restart. Little silly quirks like this keep this from perfection. There’s also an error message related to OneDrive and the Personal Vault (PersonalVault.lnk: “This item name or type isn’t allowed. Please rename the item or remove it from your OneDrive.”) that annoyingly shows up. Microsoft, please get it together!
DISCLAIMER: In exchange for an honest review, I may receive a 90-day warranty extension from ASUS.

Great thus far!

I bought this laptop only a few days ago, but so far it has been pretty great. The keyboard is better than I thought it would be, the control you get out of G-Helper over the CPU and GPU wattage and fan curves is awesome, and the configuration through all of the applications Asus gives is also pretty great. The battery life is not very good (4-5 hours) if you don't limit the wattage on the CPU and disable the discrete graphics card, so definitely do that if you need to use the laptop for class or something similar. The display is awesome, especially because it does not have OLED, saving battery life. The high resolution and 165hz is awesome too. The trackpad is great too, very large. The laptop is slightly heavier than I thought it would be though.
