A must have item in the kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We rented a beach house and they had an instant hot water dispenser and I used almost daily to make tea instant noodles and even make my coffee machine water hotter. So great and such a time saver. Even better I didn’t need to boil a whole pot of water to make a few cups. No mess no clean up its instant hot water on the fly. The instructions could not have been easiest to follow. I am an intermediate handyman and had no trouble at all. The scariest part is drilling the countertop hole. You want to make sure it is exactly where you want it and that the spout is pouring into your sink
Pros: love instant hot water, no mess hot water, faster boiling of hay water using the tap
Cons: why didn’t i get this years ago

Replacement parts unavailable

This product worked well, a bit noisy during the heating cycle, but not overly loud.
The reason for the poor review is that the product developed a leak where the upper and lower half of the tank join. A simple gasket failure.
The company does not sell replacement gaskets.
The service center informed me I needed to buy a new tank.

Leaked after 6 years

Worked great until it shorted out 6 years old. Leaking due to bad gasket, apparent ly they don’t sell new gaskets , have to buy a new device. Nice little scam

I wish we had this years ago

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently got this instant hot water dispenser and had it installed in our island by the bar sink. We are huge fans of hot drinks and we cook a lot so this is the perfect way to get the hot water in an instant. It not only looks great once installed, but we see it now as a necessity in our kitchen. Everyone uses it.

Replaced expensive copper tubing with plastic

Replacing an old Insinkerator that died with this one. Old one was quality and had three copper tubes for connecting. They got cheap and replaced the copper with plastic. Not a problem until we tried to connect the water inlet tube to the existing copper connection. Won't fit unless we buy a "ferrule and a T fitting" which is not supplied and they do not sell one. When we called the first guy said just to connect it with the existing compression fitting, which we pointed out won't work because it will crush the plastic hose. Then got put on hold for 20 minutes before we hung up. We will see if we can get what we need to make it work at a plumbing supply store. Insinkerator tried to tell us they replace the copper with plastic to make water taste better. We say BS, they replaced it because copper is too expensive.

Great for my bar area

I don't really like to microwave things that much and this is so much faster anyway. It's perfect for the break room. We all use it now!

Surprisingly Useful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll admit that when I installed this Hot Water dispenser, I didn't really have an idea how much I would use it. I like the occasional cup of tea and bowl of oatmeal, so, I expected to use it once a week.
The thing with convenience is that the more simple you make a thing, the more likely you are to make it a habit. I went from having a cup of tea before bed once a week to nearly every night. Not having to boil water on the stove made grabbing cup of tea almost as easy and quick as grabbing a glass of water. It's been great.
Installation was easy enough, if you have a general idea of how to do plumbing. It didn't require any special tools, and went by quick. That is not the case if you don't already have a hole in your sink/counter top for an additional fixture. In that case, you'll need a special hole saw, a good quality drill, and a patient and steady hand.
I would recommend this to a friend!
