Yes, it's a trashcan. But the top comes off and you can neatly place a bag and replace the (open) lid. Great quality.

Clean, minimalist, does its job

Living in a 650 sq ft apartment, I have to be careful on what I buy so it doesn't feel too crowded, and also not an eyesore that trash cans usually are. I looked for a more aesthetic can across the web, and many of them were too pricey made with materials that were unsustainable and likely show wear and tear quickly. I really like my Yamazaki purchase for the size it is and the textured metal it is built in. It secures my trash bags very well.
Size: Perfect for me - prevents trash from sitting in the can too long since it's full by the end of every week. I personally hate lugging giant trash bags, and prefer quick, lightweight trips to the dumpster.
Design: It is an open top, and in the summer there were a few fruit flies hovering over it, but overall I don't mind. The size of the can prevents anything from lingering there since it's taken out frequently, and I freeze my compost so flies are very minimal. The can is also super easy to clean out so it never gets disgusting. It's really nice for when I dump my vacuum cleaner because it's a straight shot. I also try to live sustainably so the very compact design of the can keeps me in line for what I throw away (larger, solid objects can't fit, but I've found that larger objects are often recyclable or could be a donation).
Overall, it's great for a person living on their own in a small apartment, and for those living an eco-friendly lifestyle.

Designer trash

I purchased 4 of these to utilize in a pull out trash bin. If they were longer and narrow versus a perfect square, I would have put 2 of them put together Versus 4. But these look great and accommodate the bin size well. Sturdy and have rubber attached to bottom to prevent scratching. I’ve washed the lids several times when dirty and they are effective at holding the trash bag in place. I am utilizing a tall kitchen bag in the bins. They also have a cutout for carrying the bins to the larger outdoor trash can. Very convenient! I purchased these on sale, because they were a bit pricey and needing 4~ however I would purchase again. Sturdy, stylish and sleek. Perfect for our modern home.

Dude I love these classy narrow garbage cans. I use them in my kitchen- one for garbage, one for recycling. I live solo so it’s big enough for me! Not sure I’d buy for main kitchen garbage/recycling if I were in a family of four, but should work for a couple too. Super love!
