Larger, easier to read numbers and information

Former Shearwater owner. Purchased this computer for larger, easier to read numbers and information in addition to the digital compass. After the initial 27 dives, I am happy to be a Descent owner. Shearwater had better batter life (not as bright and sharp as the Descent), still lasts nearly all week of liveaboard diving. All features easier to use, and yes easier to see. 60-year-old diver with 1,400+ dives.
The Descent X30 is my first dive computer. I am a long time Garmin Fenix user and have never had any problems. I used the X30 on my open water dive qualification and it performs flawless. It is easy to set up and updates for Nitrox oxygen levels. The large screen clearly displays all of the dive data and is very easy to read underwater. The post dive data seamlessly updates the Garmin Dive app on my phone and allows you to easily put all of the interesting details of the dive. 10/10!
The Farmin X30 replaced my Shearwater Peregrine as my backup computer. I love having the compatibility between devices and not needing to go to two apps to get dive data.
