Here in Texas snow is usually rare and does not last long but the ice will linger while waiting for it to melt away. Have been thinking about buying a gas thrower for years and finally decided to go this route after last snow so wouldn't have to walk through and slip and slide. Was surprised at the power and of course the snow density will hinder the distance it will throw (wetter will not be thrown as far). Was more than half the cost of gas and will not have the storing maintenance to perform with gas products which is great because I may not have to use every year. Cord is a little bit of a hindrance, but once again did not want to depend on maintaining another battery to probably be bad when I needed it.
I bought this for Christmas and haven’t had a chance to use it… no snow in Maine yet! Who knew?
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this unit after our first big snow of the season in eastern TN, so I haven't gotten to actually use it yet. Not to worry though as we get one good snow every year and I will be ready for the next one. It was very easy to assemble, and seems to be well constructed. I like the fact that it is light weight, which will make it easier to use. My main reasons in choosing this model was because it has a metal impeller rather than the plastic ones other brands use, and because of it's rated throwing distance of 25'. I plugged it in and ran the motor to make sure it was operational and was surprised that it ran fast enough to actually put out a pretty good breeze from the chute. It should have no problem making that 25'!
Had to call to have new hardware sent. Lock knob and bolt for assist handle were 2 different sizes and wouldn't thread together. Other than that looks like it should do the job. Just waiting for the snow to fall
I bought this after a blizzard in Kansas. It benefitted both me and my neighbors. Cleared the drive way and side walk and multiple yards in the neighborhood!
