Professional labeling at home or on the go

The Brother P-touch Pro is a compact, lightweight handheld label maker. I received this item for free in exchange for my honest, unbiased opinion. The compact size makes it convenient to label your items quickly and easily at home or the office. The P-touch Pro will assist you with organization of your items and documents and you will have fun while doing it. The gadget was easy to learn, set up and get started. I was concerned I would be reading a device manual all afternoon, but that was not the case. I added the required 6 AAA batteries and basically started the process of creating labels. This label maker has really helped me transform my space. It is user friendly and replacing the label cartridge is simple. The label maker offers 3 different fonts and 300+ symbols. The P-touch Pro uses TZe Tape Labels. There is one cartridge of labels included with the brother P-touch Pro so you can immediately begin making labels. These labels are available in different widths and colors. The TZe Tape has great qualities that assist in making this duo perfect for every job. The labels are laminated, have impressive strong adhesive, they are water resistant and my most favorite feature of the labels is how easy it is to peel the backing from the labels. The labels print quickly and so far so goodno problems with the labels jamming in the machine. The TZe Tape labels stick to many different surfaces without issues. The results are quite professional looking, in my opinion. The print is easy to read and does not smear. Labels are ready to go as soon as they are printed. No downtime. You can print in either black or red. A few of the things I like about the Brother P-touch Pro label maker is it has a familiar computer style keyboard and it has a display screen that permits you to preview your label before printing. This preview feature is great as it can assist in avoiding errors and therefore not waste supplies. I like that it is portable for on the go label making. I do have one love/hate in conjunction with the Brother P-touch Pro. It operates on either batteries or with an AC adapter. My love is the battery option allows the use of the label maker virtually anywhere. My hate is most times I prefer the AC power since I don`t have to worry about drained batteries in the middle of a project but, the AC adapter does not come with the machine. It is a separate purchase. Another item to mention about the Brother P-touch Pro is it does not come with any type of case to store it in when not in use, but while using it there is a wrist strap to help avoid damage from dropping. The strap is detachable. I give the Brother P-touch label maker a thumbs up for its compact size and enormous benefits.

Easy to use, ergonomic & efficient!

I labeled practically everything in my house! It takes a bit getting used to the symbols in the directions but once you do, you`ll be a label expert! It only takes a couple of minutes to unpackage, plug in, read instructions, and be on your way to making simple labels. Once you become proficient on the simple labels, you can start exploring all the fonts, symbols that you can use to make fancy labels. The ergonomic design makes it really easy to move from room to room labeling everything along the way! I even put an extra label on my dogs collar!

Very happy with this product. Printing seems to be a bit faster with less label tape wasted on each printing. The printing is nice and crisp with no smudging. I love the cutting tool. Most label makers have a cutting tool but this one requires much less force. I highly recommend this product. You won`t be disappointed.

The Many Features of the Brother BV Label Maker

I`ve worked with many label makers over the years, but I have to say this model has many features I haven`t found previously! This label maker is compact, comes with one roll of tape to get your started, easy to take the back off and put in the tape. Make sure you have 6 AAA batteries to get you off and labeling. The instructions were clear and concise and the optional wrist band attachment is pretty cool, too! This label maker gives you many options in regards to font style, size and spacing along with how long you want your tabs to be at either end. However, the feature that I found to be irreplaceable was the option to make cable wraps and flags and faceplates. The label maker automatically formats the text for you to utilize these labels in such a way. Very cool!This label maker packs a big punch in a small package, very impressed!

Brother P-Touch Pro label maker

The Brother P-Touch Pro label maker is a good, all-around device. I am using it primarily to make labels for network cables, and to label devices in a data center. The printed labels are easy to read, stick well, and make it so others can find specific cables and devices. My favorite feature is the "flag" type labels, which give the cable information on both sides of the cable when wrapped properly. The instructions are easy to read and follow, and are helpful to figure out some of the new features this device has. My old label maker isn`t as nice as this one, and lacks a lot of the features this one has. The keyboard is QWERTY style, which makes creating labels easier and faster than devices with the ABCD style keyboard. The only assembly required was to insert the label cartridge and batteries (6 AAA, not included), and the lanyard. Once I had the cartridge and batteries installed, I was able to use it immediately. It`s made of plastic, and probably won`t survive being dropped on a hard floor, but that`s what the lanyard is for. It has a lot of printing options and features, including multiple language options. Including batteries would have been a good feature, especially with most manufacturers making long shelf life batteries now. Overall, it`s a very useful device which I will be using for the foreseeable future.

Handy device

I was able to use it to label things in my office and also in my kitchen. I particularly like the "Cable Wrap" feature because I have a lot of electronic devices with cables going everywhere, but it was hard telling where they were plugged on the other end, such as a surge protector/power strip. I can also use it to make labels for my file folders, which previously were handwritten. Another nice feature is being able to input special characters by pressing a secondary function key and the specific character on various buttons, and not having to go to a whole different screen altogether. It took me a little while to get familiar with the full operation and functions, but that is to be expected with a device that has so many different uses. I am very pleased with this label printer.

I have had several machines to create labels for my line of work. I am always looking to label such things in my business as wires, drawers, and file cabinets. This was user friendly and could be used with no prior knowledge. I am thrilled that this is a small machine but yet packs a punch with what it can do. I am in love with this pro label.
