I bought this on sale and have had them for over 2 years. We have had nothing but problems with these cameras and the app. Delayed response times. Delayed app opening and operation. It constantly will send me a notification and then will not show me what it was by any view I try. We live in a high crime area and we rely on these cameras. They are not reliable. The app is horrible. I cannot say enough bad about these cameras and I cant even re sell them because no one will buy them. You are MUCH better off buying the Wyze camera.. cheaper and work 100 times better.
Bought an Arlo Pro2 . After multiple attempts to set it up the app will not sync with the base station which apparently is a common issue Support is virtually non existent. Chat never responds and the email system either sends an error or no reply For this price it is totally unacceptable
I have had my system for four or five years. Originally an Arlo Pro camera system. Added a Pro and Pro2 camera later. Over these years a few problems came about. They are software/firmware updates sometimes cause the system not to record. Charging batteries was an intermittent issue until it became permanent. System didn't like its own charger. Needed to buy after market charger. Have lost two cameras now because they will not sync to base station. I cannot recommend this product.
I bought the Arlo Pro 2 for the 1080p. Bought outdoor power cable for one of the cameras that was near a plug, second camera uses battery. Bought a battery charger to keep extra battery charged for a quick swap out when battery is low on charge. Bought skins to protect cameras that are outside. Bought camera mounts to mount cameras permanently. All this extra money spent for what. 6 months down the road cameras record movement but I can't view because they won't play on phone, sometimes cameras won't connect to hub. Reset cameras, reset hub, reset wifi modem. Couple days later back to the same issues. Feel like I wasted over $750.00 on garbage.
Was looking for cameras I could place outdoors without having to do any fancy wiring. These connected easily to my home wifi network. I had heard stories about the batteries draining quickly, but after a month of us, so far the batteries are still at 75% capacity. Be aware that these connect to the mount via magnet only, such that if someone really wanted to steal them, they could do so very easily. I understand there are some screw in mounts that are available. Overall, for someone like me who does not have the knowledge or skills to do their own wiring, or does not like to hassle with the wiring, these have worked out very well.
