[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, this SSD feels super convenient for everyday use. It's really small and thin-almost like a card so I just toss it in my pocket without even noticing it. The metal body makes it feel solid too. Speed-wist it's fast enough that transferring big files doesn't feel annoying anymore, especially if your device supports full Gen 2x2 speeds. I also like that you can lock it with a password, which is nice for keeping personal stuff safe. It's completely silent since there are no moving parts, and it doesn't heat up much. Overall, it's just a simple, fast, and reliable little drive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Iv been using this SSD for a few weeks now and the setup was very straightforward, just plug and play with no extra steps. The compatibility is great since it works smoothly with both my laptop and tablet without any issues. I really like the clean interface and fast files transfer, which makes daily use much easier. The reliability feels solid so far, even when transferring large files, and the slim build makes it easy to carry in my bag without worrying and damage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im really happy with this Lexas sl500 portable ssd. It’s very light weight and slim, easy to carry around, which makes it great for daily use. The speed feels fast when moving files even big files, speed of read and write is up to 20000mb/s for read and 1800 mb/s for write. The 1tb storage is huge amount of storage for home use for pictures and files. After using the drive didnt notice heat on the drive, it works smooth.

Lightweight, Fast & Perfect for Everyday Use

Lexar SL500 1TB so far. It’s super lightweight and compact - I can literally throw it in my bag or pocket and forget it’s even there. I also love that it comes with a USB-A to USB-C adapter that snaps right onto the cable, which makes it really convenient to keep everything together.
In terms of performance, it works great with my Mac. Even though Mac doesn’t support the drive’s maximum speed, I still getting around 800-1100 MB/s write and about 850 MB/s read with larger files, which is more than enough for backups, video editing, and everyday use. With smaller files, I even saw higher speeds, which was a nice surprise.
The only downside for me is that most Macs don’t support the drive’s full speed, so you’re not really getting its full potential unless you’re using certain Windows devices. I do wish Lexar had a Thunderbolt version for better compatibility with Mac users. Overall though, it’s a really solid and reliable portable SSD.
