The new version is so quiet! Still works great, though but a little disappointed that the collection barrel is smaller.

I just love this cordless trim stick vac. For me personally I have had a hip replacement and a hip repair. Vacuuming is one of the hardest chores for me, not with this vac, light compact and goes under furniture, molding at the bottom of cabinetry. It is the only vac that I can quickly get satisfaction from cleaning again without pain. So simple to use you almost wish you had something to clean. I have a sunroom with over 25 plants of all sizes and those plant parents know they are a lot of work as far as the tiny bits and dead flower petals you are constantly trying to get up. Not an issue anymore!!!

I like the way Dyson filters out the smaller allergens and it has good suction. The trigger hurts my index finger and the extension is difficult to remove so I can empty the debris chamber. Also chamber fills up so quickly I have to empty it at least 4-5 times when vacuuming my 980 sq ft house. I vacuum daily since I share my home with 3 cats and a dog.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought the submarine as we have engineered hardwood and rugs in our home and have always found Dyson vacuums to be the best. The vacuum works great; picks up an amazing amount of dirt and pet hair. One feature we don't like, however, is that in order to empty the canister, the vacuum stick has to be detached. We find it difficult to do; it doesn't detach easily so given we typically have to empty once or twice each time, it's not ideal. As for the mopping function, yes, it is easy to use and will remove some remaining dirts or spills. Previous to the submarine, we used swiffers which are not the easiest but fairly effective. I can see that the mop picks up dirt and certainly the floor is cleaner, but it's not going to apply pressure to remove anything stuck on. We ran the submarine and then used a swiffer and found the swiffer still picked up remaining dirt (e.g. the floor was not as clean as I would have hoped.)

We replaced our very old Dyson stick vacuum of many years, because the replacement ion battery is no longer available for that very old model. But we had many, many years of reliable, great vacuuming abilities from the old one! Now, we have our new Dyson stick vacuum - and love it even more! It is lighter and amazingly, ergonomically easy to handle. I absolutely l o v e the dependability and reliability and the actual suction ability of the Dyson vacuums! I still have a working Dyson upright that I purchased back in 2005! It works perfectly, still ( I use it for bigger jobs.) I highly recommend a Dyson vacuum to anyone. They are worth the money, and you will never want another brand again, once you’ve had a Dyson!
I am very pleased, light weight, keeps a charge for a long time, and breaks down to a hand held vacuum with one click. Works great on my stairs. I got rid of 3 vacuums! This one does it better than all of them. My daughter in-law recommended this vacuum and I do asl well.

I bought the V9 two weeks ago and have been happy with it overall. It’s very lightweight and surprisingly quiet. The battery only lasts about 20–30 minutes, but that hasn’t been a problem for me since I mainly use it in the bedroom suites. It’s convenient and easy to handle for light cleaning. One thing to note is that the “submarine” function is basically just a wet mop, so don’t expect deep scrubbing. I understand that it is a trade-off for the lightweight, so I give it 5 stars.
