Purchased the vacuum during Black Friday special. It does have good suction and lightweight. Easy to assemble and use. Drawbacks consist of price, still expensive for the product regardless of special, requires on switch to be held to run, no light, small container that requires constant emptying and not easy to detach.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is our second Dyson, and I do love it. As a senior, I have trouble lifting items, and this vacuum is lighter than my older Dyson. It's easier for me to use. The only problem I have is emptying it. I wish I could do that without having to detach the vacuum head from the rest of the device. I have a very hard time pressing the button to detach the head.

I bought two vaccums a dyson and a cheaper make half the price even with your sale price paid
Dyson actually is no stronger on suction and Dyson has less battery life. Also cheaper unit stands on its own, Dyson does not and cheaper model has a telescopic shaft offering more length options which Dyson does not. Overall Dyson falls short of being the better unit by a long shot. We will see in time about durability but at a glance not impressed you should have all these options better than competitor being 3 times the price

Back-saving effective cleaning I've needed! I can't get over how Dyson continues to innovate and improve over and over and over! I would love if they could offer a tube that could be elongated or shortened depending on need (for this model). I can actually get all my floors clean on just one charge! So so so very happy overall! This thing can go all over the place and not kill my back at the same time! Yay for a clean house!

I have to admit I was skeptical at first about the performance of the version nine mostly because it was battery operated. But since I’ve been using it, I can’t believe how well it works. Nothing I’ve ever had in the past compares to this and even the slightest.
My next goal is to get the heavy duty Dyson that’s down the road. Love your product and can’t say enough good things about it.
