I love this V9 Dyson. It is quiet, powerful, and easy to maneuver. The battery indicator is helpful and one charge will last at least a few days for me. The dirt bin is so easy to open on this model. My first Dyson is still going 10 years later and has found a new home in my husband's garage.

The vacuum overall is great. It is extremely lightweight and has great suction on turbo. Turbo only lasts for about 8 minutes though. No big deal if you are like me and just have rugs. The reason I rated it a 4 is there is no light on it. My other vacuums do so if I end up going down a not well lit hallway the light on the vacuum helps tremendously. So, I am bummed about that especially for the money. Otherwise, so far so good.

I had an older Dyson handheld vacuum (V6) and unfortunately needed to replace it after 10 great years. This version was the most similar to the v6 and most affordable, however when using it I was super displeased. The wastebasket is much smaller and harder to clean. I'm afraid this vacuum won't last as long as the V6 did.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
