Dyson has such a good reputation that I had great expectations purchasing this vacuum. It’s cute. Pretty color, very light weight and fun to use. The battery is long lasting as well. Only problem and reason for the 2 star rating is that the suction is awful. Wayyyy too weak. It does an ok job for a very surface pick-up but further than this… it just doesn’t get the job done. It’s like 1/2 of a vacuum. If that’s what you’re looking for then this is the vacuum for you!!! I would prefer one that could just pick up everything in it’s path!!!!
Absolutely pitiful suction. Returned it. So disappointed with my first and only Dyson product. Never again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The vacuum is okay. It is convenient and light weight but the trigger needs to be engaged the whole time and my finger gets tired. The part I dislike the most is removing the dirt/dog hair from the canister. I try to shake it but the debris never comes out without me reaching in and pulling it out. I might end up going back to a broom and dustpan. I just expected more thoughtful details.
This is our 3rd version of this vacuum and I love it. I don't love that the capacity of the canister has gotten progressively smaller. We have two dogs (lots of dirt and hair) and have to empty the canister 3-4 times every time we vacuum the house.
Bought this V9 to replace an older V7 model: better vacuuming and maneuverability! Works very well on both carpet and hardwood. Even used it on the bedspread to remove lint. Easy to clean. The HEPA filter and the time usage/count down feature are pluses. Has similar attachments as both the V7 and V8. That being said, it is unfortunate the attachments from previous Dyson’s do not fit and the V9 uses a different docking/charging station. It would be helpful to know how to responsibly recycle/repurpose these unusable pieces.
Battery is dead after only 2 uses. very disappointed

This is the most ridiculous tool I’ve seen. For a company known for expensive, but usually justified due to quality - this misses the mark.
There is no way to get the water OFF the floor. I could have just as easily tossed a cup of water onto the floor and slid around on it. The end result was the same - I had to get a mop to clean the floor

Works good but dust bin is very small dont recommend this model for people with pets
