[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5 for a while now, and it’s honestly become one of my favorite tech purchases. The 8.8-inch screen is the perfect size—not too big to carry around, but large enough to make games look fantastic. Everything feels incredibly smooth thanks to the 165Hz display, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite handles everything I’ve thrown at it, from demanding Android games to emulation, without breaking a sweat. The speakers are surprisingly good, and it’s become my go-to device for gaming and watching videos on the couch. My only real complaints are that I wish it had an OLED display for those deep blacks and vibrant colors. Still, every time I pick it up, I remember why I bought it. If you want a powerful, portable Android gaming tablet, this one is ridiculously fun and easy to recommend.

Screen is bright and vibrant and the sound is quite good. Pass thru charging works well and having dual USB-C ports makes hooking up a controller and charging at the same time a breeze.

The hardware handles heavy gaming flawlessly without lagging, and the battery life easily gets me through long sessions. The compact size is perfect, but it still packs the kind of processing power you’d usually expect from a much larger setup. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lenovo did a great job. The tablet is quick and snappy. I know the legion tab line as a limg history of being a strong performer and this one lived up to the hype. The added fact that Lenovo includes a case, cover and screen protector is just outstanding in a segment that like to sell accessories separately. I have everything I need to get started enjoying and traveling with the tablet right in the box. And the accessories are well thought out. The case has a sort of honey comb pattern on the back that helps with heat retention, the cover is removable and attaches by magnetic flaps on either side of the case. I have always disliked the trifold covers as they get in the way when I dont want the cover. With this design I can simply remove it, but still leave the tablet in the case. 10/10 on case design. The only thing I find a little off about the tablet is the screen. Don't get me wrong its beautiful, especially at high brightness. But it has an odd depth to it that results in a type of shadow effect. At lower brightness levels this can make it uncomfortable for viewing, especially if I'm using it for reading. I've used a lot of tablets and this one is the first to have this type of display effect. Its not enough of an issue and only happens for me in such limited situations that I didn't feel it warranted removing a star. This tablet is gaming focused and for that its outstanding.

I combine this with a Gamesir G8 Plus and the Lenovo Pen for my travels. When the device needs to be a work device it is. When it's time to emulate games or play Android games, it delivers.
My only gripe is that you have to charge the Lenovo pen via usb C and it does not charge via capacitive means.
The included case is nice to have but very ineffective with the pen.
