Owning QC35 and QC70's which I love - I thought I'd try these as an alternative to apple AirPods. Nice fit - but the aesthetic of the case wasn't of the high quality I expected. The frustrating this is quality of sound for people on the other end of the phone is so poor I've had to buy another pair of apple AirPods... Anyone else had similar experience?

Hello, the QC earbuds have built-in microphones that filter out ambient noise to focus your voice and deliver conversations clearly. You can find guidance to resolve your concerns about microphone performance here https://bose.life/3DDiaAk
I had a pair of the high end Sony earbuds before this and there is no comparison. First, the noise canceling on the Bose Quiet Comfort buds is stunningly effective. They are also incredibly secure and comfortable. My primary use is at the gym and, while the do occasionally loosen up, the do stay in my ears more securely than any other earbuds I have used. Of course sound performance is superb. A really great product.
I have been a user of QC Earbuds for 3 years and love them. I was hopeful that the QC Earbuds II would offer improvements but I was totally wrong. I have had numerous problems and had to have them replaced. There are really no new features and unlike the original QC's I have to perform a blue-tooth reconnection to my phone several times a day. Truly disappointing. I am hopeful to return them at the earliest possible time.

Hi. Thank you for posting. The QuietComfort Earbuds II differ from the prior QuietComfort Earbuds in many ways, including: • The introduction of CustomTune sound calibration technology to deliver personalized sound and the world’s best noise cancellation • Significantly improved noise cancellation performance • A significantly smaller-sized earbud and smaller-sized charging case • More fit personalization options through separate eartips and stability bands • Improved natural quality to Aware Mode and the sound of your own voice when on phone calls • Improved noise rejection for your microphone on phone calls • A Fit Test in the Bose Music app to check your fit for a gentle seal, so you get the best audio and noise cancellation performance. With the Bluetooth connection issue, usually this is due to the source that needs to be rebooted. Please restart your phone and then test the connection again. If you have further questions, just reach out to us here. https://bose.life/3BzXXfd. We would love to help. Marvin - Bose Customer Support
I loved the brand in the past, and I had great expectations. Sound quality is ok, but it is not great, not an excellence. A big thumb up for the noise cancelling, it is amazing, the only thing I really appreciated in this product. thumb down for the bluetooth part: hard to connect.

Hello,
Thanks for leaving your thoughts on the QuietComfort Earbuds II! It's fantastic to hear you were impressed by the noise-cancelling feature.
CustomTune technology adjusts the performance of the buds to ensure you get the best sound quality from the buds, but you also have the option to adjust EQ using the easy settings found in the Bose Music app!

I bought this two weeks ago. Good: it does cancel noise, good sound. Bad: the charging cable is hard to plug to the box, I suspect that it will be damaged soon, although I am very careful, a bit uncomfortable but this is probably on me because I like to sleep with them. I don’t think these will last long, no matter how careful I will be. I used to have similar. To me BOSE supposed to be the Mercedes of headphones, almsot unbreakable. Sorry about the bad review.

We reached out to you with a message, included was the advice to try all included sizes of ear tips, and it's great to have heard back that you'll be giving this a go! The new Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds II are the latest entry into high end ANC (Active Noise Control) offered in the form of lightweight compact earbuds. The following is my review based on about 5 days of user tests:
Design: Bose has created a sleek carrying case in a matte black finish. The earbuds live and charge in the case and connect via magnets. The overall form factor is slim with minimal protrusion from your ears. The internet photos do not do it justice and anyone saying it looks like an old Bluetooth headset is wrong. The slim design is a hit with simple one touch controls on both buds that can be used for typical music and phone controls, including adjusting volume, skipping tracks and answering calls. My only complaint with the design is that only the right bud has a microphone and must be worn for phone calls. I have not done a full test but literature states 6-hour battery life. I have worn these for about 4 hours on “Quiet Mode” (Full ANC), with zero issues. The case does not offer wireless charging and must be charged with the included USB-C cable. The case has a dedicated Bluetooth pairing button which simplifies the pairing process.
Fit: The buds are lightweight and are extremely comfortable to wear for prolonged sessions. Out of the box the buds come with 3 different ear tips and 3 different stability bands. Adjusting these are super simple and the user software offers a “Fit test” which helps users understand and perform the task of changing the parts out. As mentioned in design the buds themselves do not protrude drastically from the ear canal and are super comfortable to wear. I have not experienced any ear fatigue while wearing these. I have done various workouts using the buds and at no point did I feel concerned about them falling out from my ears even when they got wet from sweat. Bose states they are IPX4 rated.
Sound: At the end of the day people buy earbuds to listen to things, be that podcast, calls and of course music. The audio quality on these are absolutely phenomenal. Upon placing the buds in ear the buds chime in what Bose is calling “CustomTune Sound Calibration.” Which I will get more into in the “ANC” portion. I can say without any doubt these are the best audio quality earbuds I have ever used. With rich bass and an in app EQ music is clear and loud. I like metal music and nothing gets muddled while listening. The audio quality is second to none and just amazing given the size and that they are earbuds. Calls are super crisp and clear and nobody ever questioned whether or not “I was on Bluetooth” while making calls.
ANC Technology: This is where these buds are superior to any other wireless earbuds on the market. Out of the box the buds come with two modes “Quiet MODE” (Full ANC) and “Awareness MODE” (Allows outside noise in) which are easily changed by the one touch controls. Upon inserting the buds into the ear the buds play a chime as part of their “CustomTune Sound Calibration” which apparently adjust the level on the fly regarding the ANC. Quiet Mode is typical BOSE fashion and the ANC technology these buds offer are great. I don’t get that stuffy feeling like other ANC headphones and the rattle of the plane I took was practically nonexistent. It also completely removed the rattle of the air conditioner in my room while I watched movies. The “Awareness MODE” is also a complete surprise, as for the first time it doesn’t feel like fake sound. In other buds with similar modes the buds create a sensation as if a computer was recording audio outside and playing it back into my ears. During work and while walking my dog I used this mode to keep my wits about me and maintained focus. Surprisingly this is my favorite part of the earbuds. The comfort plus the realistic awareness mode allows me to keep them in ear for a prolonged time without issue. You can play audio while in this mode and still hear what is going on around you. The BOSE app allows for up to 4 Custom Modes where you can label and change the level on the ANC. I found the default settings were perfect. Overall the ANC in this product is phenomenal.
Conclusion: I am in absolute love with these headphones and heavily recommend them to anyone interested in high end ANC earbuds. The comfort due to the custom fit, the new bolstered technology of the ANC and the drivers in these slim earbuds create rich full and crisp sounds with minimal ear protrusion are an absolute hit. Bose knocked it out of the park with these.
