MASSIVE CONNECTION PROBLEMS

I have a pair of Bose headphones that I have enjoyed and connect flawlessly , so I was very surprised when the Quite Comfort II earbuds failed to connect. The first time using them only one earbud connected. I updated the firmware for both the earbuds and carrying case to see if this would improve connectivity. To date, the earbuds have connected fully only one time. Every other time using them I have to clear the connection and reconnect, but even this works only 50% of the time. I am really shocked that Bose would put a product on market that works so poorly and priced at such a premium. There are products that work better for 25% of the cost of the Quite Comfort II. Obviously, I am returning them.

I bought this recently to replace an old set of noise-canceling earbuds that were about 10 years old and stopped working. The new ones are dramatically superior with excellent noise canceling and sound quality. The charging case is very easy to use. I had worried about the earbuds falling out since there is no tether like the older models. So far, that has not been a problem.
The touch controls are a bit over sensitive. I'll sometimes stop streaming when adjusting the earbud position, or do other mistakes when trying to adjust volume. I hope this will get easier with a bit more practice.
All in all, I remain very satisfied with the purchase.
With Bose we expect the best sound, and the buds deliver. However, I was very disappointed to learn that there is no text to speech option with the QC2 and my iPhone. The JBL power buds I trialed had inferior sound but great text to speech. So, I have to choose between great sound and convenience/safety when driving and using my buds. Still deciding. Also, the buds seem to disconnect every time I go to out them in - have to reconnect. Hmmm.
After upgrading from the first generation quiet comfort earphones I immediately loved the slimmer lightweight design of these. Also the sound dampening was a lot quicker and responsive. But after a owning these earphones a while I've come across a lot of glitchiness. Recently my earphones weren't connecting to Bluetooth at all or sometimes only one of the 2 would connect and i have to put them in the case, close it and reopen it to attempt again. The voice prompts come in as if it were cutting off sounding choppy. Sometimes the noise canceling will be immediate and sometimes it will be sudden for example a continuous loud noise would occur and then like 1 minute late it will suddenly attempt to silence it so that was very inconsistent. Sometimes a continous tap noise will come from an earphone randomly and ill take off my earphone and readjust it to see if it was that and it will go away. I've gotten used to them and like them but I've had more issues with these compared to the first generation which sucks because these are more appealing.

These really do sound amazing and the ANC is top tier! Very comfortable, and I didn't have many issues with them slipping out or leaking in environment noise. The audio was pretty well balanced and produced lows pretty good for a small bud.
But after a week I decided to return them due to lack of features and I was not a fan of the Bose app at all. For this price, I think it's only right to have the same features other brands have, and maybe some to set them apart. Here's a few of the flaws that lead me to return them: -No wireless charging case -Only right bud can be used independently -can't turn off touch controls (adjusting them, rain, hood, hair sometimes triggers sensors) -can't locate/track my buds -Only 3 band EQ and no sound customization. -no multiple device connection. -call quality was mediocre -ANC adds white noise, not a fan.
If it was just for music and you can accept the mentioned problems, I would still recommend the QC2's to those that can splurge $250 for buds. But for the price, I would like the whole package. I'll be on the look out for the next one.
I bought these Bose QC Earbuds II a month ago and I have had trouble with them ever since. The noise cancelation doesn't come close to an over-the-ears headphone. The sound itself is very good, but with minimal noise cancelation. The earbuds do not seat well in the case, so charging is problematic. I go to use them and often they are not charged. I am a real fan of Bose sound equipment, but these earbuds are the worst Bose product I've ever encountered.

Hello Chuck, I am glad to hear that you are enjoying the sound quality of the QC earbuds II. I am sad to hear that you are experiencing some issues with noise cancellation and with placing the earbuds in the charging case.
If you find that the earbuds are not seating well in the charging case, be sure to check that the stability band is on correctly and not blocking the connection point on the earbud, I recommend that you try reseating the stability bands and check that they go into the case without issue, this will also help with charging them.
For the noise-cancelling issue you mentioned, I recommend trying different sized eartips and stability bands, this will help you find a better fit for your earbuds so that they can create a seal in your ear. This will help improve noise cancellation and audio performance. You can find more information on this here: https://bose.life/3hZBssO.
