[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a big fan of Kwikset locks in general. They are usually reasonably priced and well made. My favorite thing about them is their smart key system, which allows you to use the same key for many locks. Highly recommended!

Added Security To My Home

It Was So Easy To Install. At First I Didn’t Think It Would Work Since I Live In A Mobile Home But It Worked Perfectly.

Know what brand of keys work with this set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this free from influencer in return for my honest review. This was very easily put in and worked very well. We looked into it to see what brand of keys may work in this ahead of time and found out that you do have to do your own research of finding the brand that works with this to use this. While using this we found it was a bit tricky at first of making the keys that go into this work but it was quite nice as we lost all the keys on our key ring and it's less heavy now. This can work on any door in the house and not have those heavy keys hanging on that key ring. I would definitely recommend this if you have people coming and going instead of having all these keys for all different doors. It's a very sturdy lock and a very trusted brand

Re-Key Kit Waste of Money

I bought the Kwikset Re-Key Kit and followed the instructions carefully. I ended up with both the original key and new key being rendered useless. Had to replace the smartkey deadbolt with a new set. What looked like a simple rekey solution turned into a waste of money!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Malfunctioned with minimal use

This lock was installed in the door leading to my garage by the builder of my new build home. After very minimal use, it started to malfunction. Now, it takes about 60-90 seconds and a lot of twisting and frustration to get my key out of the lock; the key becomes lodged inside of the lock. There is nothing smart about this lock. Very frustrated.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Left the Factory Too Kwik

Great value for the money. Polished chrome looks great in renovated kitchen door. Would have been an easy install except that after several attempts to insert the D-shaped spindle I found a large shard of steel blocking the hole. Had to punch it out with a screwdriver and file rough edges. See photo. Not a deal breaker but you might want to have a talk with the QC dept.

Easy to install, no special tools, nice bright brass finish, works great. Replaced the same identical unit that was installed 15 years ago, but key got stuck.
I would recommend this to a friend!
