I have a lot of rental properties and started replacing the locks on all of them about 4 years ago withe these locks. They are high quality, easy to install and easy to change the key when tenants move out. Saves me a lot of money changing locks. I have bought over 50 of these over the past 4 years. Great investment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just finished installing 7 lock-sets, including 7 deadbolts, to all of our exterior doors.
Chose the 980 series smart-key deadbolt, because I wanted to have the ability to occasionally re-key the locks, for an extra layer of security.
Not only were they easy to install, they also operate very smoothly, and they look great. And to top it off, it took less than 10 minutes to walk around the house, and re-key six of the locks so all seven would match.

Excellant Safety feature locking from both sides

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I purchased and installed the dual cylinder lock (key used on both sides of cylinder to prevent someone from reaching in and turning deadbolt by hand after breaking window) I knew what was coming from my wife---we can't have this, if there is a fire getting key and unlocking will not work. I showed here the slot in the wall I made with key placement and also were i put a secondary key (also near the door). Once again i was told this will not work. I showed her the benefit that if someone broke a window they could not reach in and unlock door and left it at that. Over the next few days I watched her as she would run, grab stored key, and unlock door. I also observed her doing the same---but without grabbing key and pretend to turn a deadbolt handle. I never brought up the issue again and after a few days when she left to run errands I took out the Double Cylinder Deadbolt and i
reinstalled a traditional Single Cylinder. When she returned the very first thing she said was why do we have this unsafe lock back in the front door. I believe that the above story tells it all. When you want safety, you want Kwikset and the Double Cylinder Deadnoult

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THE FINISH ON THE LOCK IS TOP NOTCH, THE SIMPLICITY OF THE SMART KEY TO MATCH MY OTHER LOCKS IS GREAT. INSTEAD OF HAVING TO STAND AROUND THE HOME CENTER FOR AN HOUR TO GET THE "GUY" THAT KEYS THE LOCKS YOU CAN DO IT AT HOME IN LESS THAN A MINUTE
