Excellent quality of radio and transmission and reception are excellent. Two problems-
1. The latch that secures the battery can come unlatched and battery drop out. Almost lost battery while out surveying. It is also stiff and I can for see a time when it will break off.
2. There needs to be a way (and maybe I am missing it not in manual) to lock channel in place, as we have had cases where fumbling in hands or pulling it out of a holder, the channel gets switched.
Other than those two issues, excellent radio and well built. Would highly recommend to others for use.

I do prefer the visual screens of the GMRS radios over not having a screen, but the quality of the signal is very good, and the units we purchased have held up very well.
