quick and easy

I bought this blender in order to make quick smoothies in the mornings. I have a vitamix which I use for more 'strenuous' smoothies (i.e. I haven't tried ice cubes in the Starfrit, although it's supposed to be able to handle them), but so far this little one has worked very well. It easily manages things like bananas, of course, but it also blended frozen blueberries and pieces of Swiss chard perfectly. I tried a carrot yesterday and it wasn't completely gone, but perhaps I didn't blend long enough. I wasn't expecting this blender to be as good as my vitamix, and I haven't tested it with many of the more 'difficult' foods, but I'm very happy with it so far; it does a good job, especially when you consider the price! I removed the gasket to clean everything, but I don't think I'll do that again. It seemed a bit too long, but I finally got it in and everything is fine, but after having read about gaskets coming loose and getting chewed up, it seems a good idea to leave it where it is.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Just bought it used this morning I like the big cup. Most blender cups overflow and u can’t get enough veggies in.

First time using this awesome product I made a soup by blending potatoes and leek and I was truly amazed by how easy it was to use the product and all the accessories that came with it for that low cost item I’m truly amazed! Thanks to Starfrit for all my futur meals!!

This personal blender was great for making daily smoothies ... easy to set up, use, and clean. The inclusion of two " built in" travel cups was perfect for us ... blend and go!
