My first loaf was the 900 gram white loaf with medium crust. It was inedible, hard as a rock. It seemed to me that the dough hook didn't knead the dough so much as fiddle with it, and the 900 gram loaf was too large for the hook and the breadmaker. I decided to buy bread flour and try again. This time I used the 700 gram white loaf recipe. I made one loaf in the bread maker using a light crust, and the other, using the identical ingredients, by hand. The one change in the ingredients is that I could not knead the last 6-7 tablespoons of flour into the handmade loaf. The finished loaves were smeared with unsalted butter to tenderize the crusts. The pictures show the loaves cooling, and the inside crumb structure. I preferred the handmade loaf as it did not have such a yeasty smell. The handmade loaf cut into 14 slices, and the breadmaker loaf into 9 slices, with the last 3 damaged or perforated by the dough hook. I had to then slice them in half because they are too big for a sandwich, so 18 half slices. This is my first experience with a breadmaker, and I'm not so enamoured with the results. I had hoped that I could use the breadmaker for kneading the dough only, but it is not so good at that, and using the oven to bake only one loaf seems to be a waste of electricity. I am disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this very recently and I like the looks of it and the size. It looks great on my counter. Makes a great loaf of bread.

Kneading

We used it to prepare the pizza dough. It's great for kneading pizza dough. Instructions on the print catalogue though weren't too clear and light on recipes. It could have been more detailed.

Easy to use

I love the compact size because it's perfect for my small kitchen, and I love the way that the smell of freshly baked bread permeates the whole house. I had a bread machine years ago, and it was big and clunky and took up way too much counter space. My friends and neighbors are really happy I bought this, too!

I cannot believe I can make jam with it! I will try and see how it goes. If it is anything like the other features, it will be great.

Husband bought me this as a surprise and i absolutely love it. It is a definite time saver, I even bought a second one for a family member because it worked so well and they use it every single day. Very good product!

I was raised with a mom who used to make bread every week. Now I can make my own with ease. The smell and taste is wonderful. I can't wait to make a few different types of bread in the near future
