It was not too hard to assemble (I am 72). It does do exactly what it is advertised to do. It uses your thigh muscles with your glutes and your low back. all 3 muscle groups work together to keep you standing with NO (or much less) back pain. It is very sturdy but still not very heavy to move around. I don't use the counter but it is not working. I don't care I count sets of 15, using 2 of the 4 resistance bands. I use the neutral squat setting for now.

So far, I'm very pleased with this machine. It's well-built, quiet, and is giving me a really good cardio workout--and I haven't even used the resistance bands yet! I highly recommend this machine!
