It’s hard to express how how much I love this electric mop. It’s the best designed and engineered—and most useful— household product that I have bought in many years. It has totally transformed mopping for me, from something I used to do maybe once a month, to a quick chore I am happy to do every couple of days.
I can zip it through the kitchen or the living room, mopping all the floors casually and easily, and they are dry within a couple of minutes.
I have become an evangelist for the FC7, talking it up and doing product demonstrations for friends and family, something I haven’t done for any other consumer products that I remember.
It’s a seriously worthy buy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Like it and vacuuming still needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a dog and 2 ladies with medium to long hair. Kids are in and out many times a day. We found that it is best to still vacuum prior to mopping because of all the hair. The FC7 is lightweight and because the sponges are rolling, it doesn't take much strength to push it around - you are really just steering it. It is very quiet. It does suck up food and mud particles that the mopping action loosens up. If something is stuck on, the boost feature helps to scrub it right up. The battery is still going strong after mopping roughly 750 sq ft of tile. It does take some time after mopping to clean the rollers and comb and reservoir.
Recently just upgraded to the latest F7 cordless model and was pleasantly pleased with battery life (did all of our hardwood floors AND tiled floors on one charge with charge to spare), streak-free floors that looked amazing. While floors were dirty to start with, I always vacuum ahead of time and I can’t say I had any really messy spots to tackle. The only thing that I thought was a hastle was having to empty the dirty water bin four times throughout the cleaning. I only used the turbo-mode once for a small area and immediately had to empty the dirty water bin after just having emptied it. I never had to empty the much larger, easier to empty bin more than once on previous F5.
I love Karcher products, I also have the steam cleaner and have bought the floor cleaners for each of my sons and my father-in-law. So then why did I give this product a 4-star review? I was pretty disappointed that despite mere routine usage of my previous F5 and following all cleaning and storage steps, it only lasted 4 years; just over the 3-year warranty. It’s hard to toss out a machine that looks brand new and not get any support from the vendor. My husband is pretty handy but couldn’t get it fixed.

Great mop but could use better instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a month ago and have used it a couple of times to mop my hardwood floors. It does a decent job in that you don't have to apply the elbow grease as with manual mops. The boost mode is a good plus as it helps work with more soiled areas too. And being cordless with good indicator for how much battery is left, makes it a really useful product.
However only 1 thing I wish was better were the initial instructions to set it up. For a mop, it shouldn't be too difficult to set this up but there are a lot of moving parts in this and at times the instructions skip past the obvious things leaving it upto guesswork. One example is the part of connecting the waste container. The container has a lid, and essentially you both onto the mop. Initially I missed the lid part as the container itself clicks into the mop and the instructions don't talk about it at all. Another point is that the page in the booklet where it numbers each part, and the page where it talks about what those numbered parts are, should ideally be next to each other for easy understanding. You currently need to flip the page back and forth to correspond the numbers to the parts. A minor point but would make it more user friendly and easier to understand what's what. However once you get past these initial hurdles, it is a really good product.
We have a large home that is all tile with no grout. It did a wonderful job of cleaning but for larger cleaning jobs you have to empty the waste and fill the dispenser way too often. That was a bigger job than the cleaning itself. I recommend either using for a smaller house or just doing part of the house each time. I tried to do 4,000 sq. ft. and got it all nice and clean but, as I said, with more "administrative" work than cleaning work.
