In the past 6 years, I've gone through 3 of these air conditioners. The first unit had a compressor that never worked. Had to have it replaced on the first day. The next two units were unable to cool my 600 sq ft space below 80 degrees whenever it was above 82 degrees fahrenheit outside, even when the thermostat is set anywhere between 60-78 degrees in Cool mode. Both units' compressors would only run 4-5 minutes cycles before shutting off and it would take a very long time between cycles even when the thermostat is set to the lowest possible temperature. My choices of air conditioners have been limited because of the particular size of my wall sleeve and special outlet. But the headaches and expense of constantly having to replace this particular Frigidaire air conditioner model, is just not worth it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
