I unboxed and serviced the unit today. Good: Instructions were almost adequate and engine started on first pull.
Bad: (1) Design makes it very hard to add/check the engine oil (must remove a large cover plate). There is no external access to the dip stick. This is bad design the could be easily fixed by a hole in the cover plate and possible an extension of the tube holding the dipstick, but they didn't do that. (2) The instructions show two screws holding the cover plate over the oil dipstick. They don't show that there are three internal posts firmly held in rubber reinforced holes. The holding posts must be forced out of their restraints. I had to use a small flat blade screw driver to pry the cover off after I removed the screws and I was working "blind" the first time I removed the cover. I was very worried that I would break the cover plate getting it off (breaking the cover plate could still happen in the future). Otherwise, so far so good.

Quality Unit

I have one other IGen600s and both work great. These are quality built units that deliver what is promised. I also own two IGen 300s Power Stations and these are performing as advertised as well. I highly recommend either of these units.

iGEN 300S is Awesome

This small but mighty generator is indoor safe and easy to charge and use. It has all the right fixture attachments so you can charge those little things that keep your life operating as normal during a power outage... TV, light, etc. If yoy want to pwoer a fridge... only a min fridge.

IGen300s Portable power station

Portable power station was bought for me for a birthday present I didn’t open the unit for about three months which was a big mistake on my part because from the time I open it till now I’ve not stop using my Power Station it has helped me tremendously with my side job. I use the Power Station to charge my iPad my iPhone and Test many products that I sell so this unit has very helpful me
