Will not hold a charge

It cannot be counted on to work in a power outage. Ours is only 2 months old. Our power went out today. The iGen300s has been left plugged in and charging for more than the past week. When I went to use it today it displayed 100% charged. I plugged it into our fireplace fan. It displayed a 32w AC draw and lasted only 5 minutes before going completely dead. This is the 2nd time this has happened to us. I charged it again of our gas generator and it said fully charged after less than an hour. I then tried again and this time it lasted about 1 hour with only the 32w load. The display said it was half full at the time it died.
It has also smelled like chemicals (like new carpet) the entire time - still does after 2 months.
Bottom line, you cannot count on this unit.

Used the iGen300s to power a lift chair during a power outage 1 week after buying the product. It ran for 16 hours using only 40% of the battery. Lift chair draws 37 watts. Also during the outage several iPhones and portable 2-way radios were also charged.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Gone forever, no more electrical outages!

Bought the iGen2200 a few weeks back. Incredibly easy to set up, starting was a breeze, very quiet. Love the small package, easy to move and handle.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect small backup source. I ran tv/dvd player for 6 hours. Then i tested 32in and satellite box and ran for 2.5 hrs. Recharged 3 phones, 3 tablets and a laptop numerous times a piece. Definitely worth it as a reliable backup. I also purchased the igen2500 as a source for refrigerator and other necessary items. Love Westinghouse and recommend it to everyone

Great dual fuel option

This is the first time I purchase a Westinghouse generator. Very satisfied with this purchase. Love the dual fuel option. Easy setup. Works great. Sound isn't very loud like other generators I've had. Will definitely buy Westinghouse again!
