I have used a Shun 10” Chef knife since I was 16. My son, now 9 years old, has asked when he would get a knife to help cook. Never any doubt that this would be the knife I would purchase for him.

I purchased this knife as a gift for my son and it just arrived yesterday so I can’t speak to it’s quality in terms of cutting. It is a beautiful knife however.

This is such a high quality knife and I cannot express this enough. It has stayed sharp for over a year without sharpening. After sharpening, it is as razor sharp as the day it came out of the box. This knife does not disappoint.

TRUE CRAFTSMANSHIP

This knife was purchased for me for my birthday 2 years ago- I had to learn how to use a knife again because it was so sharp-- It's still sharp too-- You can feel the amazing quality as you use it--It handles well and slices through food like butter- It is such a prized gift that I won't let anyone else use it --Definitely worth the purchase--

Awesome knife

I’ve had this knife for about 8 months and it’s still just as sharp as the day I got it. Just last weekend I sliced right through the tip of my thumb (user error, not the knife’s fault, obviously) and man was that a clean cut. I’ll never own a different knife brand
