[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer does seem to dry faster and fairly smooth. However, the air speed seems to be so fast that when I am drying my own hair it can cause tangling. I also find it is really hot and you have to be careful not to burn someone when styling close to the scalp.

Bad luck? Or bad tools?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted this to be great. I wanted it to be the fix to my opinions of the smart x. But sadly it was not. I’m a professional hairstylist of over 10 years and love a new tool like some people love new cars. I had never used Bioionic tools before. I purchased my 1st tool (the smart x hair dryer) in March of 2023 and had to submit 3 warranty claims and finally I gave up and asked for a different tool. This one doesn’t get warm until you push the cold shot…. So once again, not impressed. It is now officially to be my backup hair dryer because there’s no chance of refund and it seems I’m going to have to go with a new brand totally. Probably should’ve stuck with my original go to…. Lesson learned.

Smell of burning plastic

Great blow dryer and lightweight

No temperature settings! This thing gets way too hot!

It works great, it’s so lightweight & it blow dries the hair so fast & shiny; however I’ve never had a blow dryer without temperature settings. This thing gets so hot & it burns some of my clients. For something this expensive, you should be able to control the heat settings. Unfortunately, I’ll be returning mine.
