An excellent (but challenging!) set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really well made set and was lots of fun. I built it with my seven year old, and while I know it's recommended for ages 8 and over, it would likely be tough even for 8 year olds who may not be very skilled with building sets. While the instructions are better than other kits (my opinion), there are lots of small pieces that need very precise placement for the movement to work appropriately. That being said, it was a REALLY fun kit to build and I would highly recommend it for skilled builders who are Pokemon fans!

Mega Dragonite 387 piece building set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mega Dragonite kids building set comes with 387 pieces. The set includes an instruction book and several pieces in bags to be completed in stages. There are several small pieces so a child may need help from an adult as instructions are easy to follow but are very detailed. The set itself has a great deal of detail that is fun and displays very well upon completion. The wings will flap with a built in brick allowing the wings to move using a circular movement with attached bricks. My 11 year old was able to complete the set in a few hours with little help other than identifying a few small pieces correctly.
Overall i rate this set a 5 out of 5 stars.

Dragonite needs to fly...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect set for an 8yr old Pokémon fan to build on their own. It took my son about 5 hours to build the figure all by himself. The figure looks great with lots of movable parts. The only disappointment was that we were expecting much more movement of the wings. It moves maybe 1/4" max. It is part of a collection that builds into a whole Pokémon World, and we can't wait to complete it.

Great for all ages, with some help

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I built this with my 8 and 6 year olds, and It was definitely challenging for them. This build in particular has a lot of really small pieces and I don't think my children would have finished this by themselves - the Dragonite is definitely something you would have to help your children with if they're on the younger side like my kids. I think it would probably be great for older kids to work independently, but it was difficult for my kids to keep up and we had to finish it over three or four sessions.
I gave this four stars because our set came with the wrong part for one of the legs, as you can see in my photo. I know we didn't do it wrong because none of the leftover pieces would fix the leg. But I will say this has never happened to us before, so maybe we just got a weird set.
Even with the wrong piece on the leg, it still looks really cool. My kids struggled to build it but absolutely loved the final Dragonite. Definitely worth it if your kids are into Pokemon and like working with the Mega building blocks. Not to mention it's good for their brains!

Fun set that is just challenging enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was such a fun set! My daughter has really loved doing these kinds of sets lately and her younger sister likes to watch. This set took us about 2 hours to complete. It was not difficult but was hard enough for her to enjoy it and have to think, which is a double win. The movement piece is a nice little touch, she liked making him flap his wings. We have 7 of these sets now and plan to get more!

Great Pokemon gift!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Pokemon Dragonite set was perfect for my Pokemon loving son. He was super in to unboxing and starting on it. He was a little disappointed that there was a missing piece in the first bag but luckily it didn't deter him from finishing it.

Love the idea of it

But when you combine it with another one of the things we love, Pokemon, it takes it to the next level. Haven’t gotten around to building it quite yet however, upon opening the packaging you can tell it is designed around ease of building. The instruction manual, paired with the bags being numbered makes it an easy build for children and parents to build together
