The instructions for the Sunjoy 10 ft. x 12 ft. Black Steel Gazebo with Adjustable Polycarbonate Hardtop indicate that installation should take 60-90 minutes and six to eight adults are recommended for safe assembly. I was able to install this completely on my own, needing three other people at the end to move the gazebo into place. It took me about three to four solid hours. I was thoroughly impressed by the manner in which this gazebo was packaged for shipping, clearly aimed at reducing the risk of damage in transit. I found laying the parts across the lawn in groups by each letter and then by number within each group to be the easiest way to locate parts as I assembled. The instructions leave a lot to be desired during the first few pages, but try to visualize the final product and it should be easier. Use a drill if you have one. Don't forget to stake down the gazebo. The finished product is a heavy-duty gazebo that is usable year round for us (Southern US). I am extremely pleased with this gazebo and that is why I am rating it 5 stars despite the instructions. We actually use our backyard heavily for the first time in years, as we finally have an area to cool off and/or relax. My wife has her breakfast out there near daily. Our favorite feature is the UV resistant panels that can be moved around when desired. If we decide we want a little bit of sun or to stargaze, we can slide individual panels from the first two rows. Unlike traditional gazebos, you still get some light passing through the panels, which makes you feel like you don't have a roof over your head. The gazebo includes three sides of netting and panels, so if you use the gazebo in an open environment (not against a wall), the back side will have no curtain rod, curtain hooks, netting or panels. This gazebo would be great for any household. It has brackets to fasten to a building, but could also be freestanding as long as you have a solid foundation. The gazebo is slightly larger than a typical 10'x10' gazebo and that extra little bit seems to make a big difference. I would advise keeping this product away from trees and falling leaves/needles, as the roof isn't the easiest to clean. Overall, this is one of my favorite products I have ever owned.

The directions were a little unclear at times but overall was easy to put together. LOVE that the roof panels slide to open and close! Can’t wait to spend the summer under here with a cocktail!

The greatest gazebo ever

I purchased this gazebo last month and I am in love! The quality is impeccable and people are always asking me where I got it from even strangers in the street that walk past our house. I love the double curtains where I can either be protected from just insects or Have the other fabric curtain that can protect us from rain or just for privacy! I bought it knowing that it’s good and I didn’t expect it to be excellent. I’m extremely happy with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy I went with this gazebo! Not only does it give our backyard deck the shade we need, but it’s also very stylish and modern. I love the functionality and aesthetic of it! My husband and I were able to assemble it ourselves in about 5-6 hours total. There are a lot of pieces, but everything is labeled well so you can organize all the pieces easily out of the 4 large boxes it came in. This gazebo will last us for years and I’m so happy we can spend way more til in our backyard now under the gazebo!
