The dimensions are based on inside of pergola so the small arms that stick out add at least 6” more. If you are working with a very tight space make SURE you take this additional measurement into account. I had to cut a few pieces to allow for a custom fit around my chimney The quality and look of pergola is great I use bungee cords to secure both sides when expecting heavy winds You can secure each post to a wooden deck with screws It also comes with pins to secure to lawn Overall we are happy with it It definitely helps to have 2 people put it together Follow instructions EXACTLY Otherwise you may be taking pieces apart They are not great instructions You basically look at a drawing and match up parts

Looks great on the patio! Took 3 people about 2 hours and a few beers. Directions are just okay, but if you have experience putting together furniture you should be fine.

We are so pleased with this pergola. It was simple enough to set up. Great quality! And it offers the perfect amount of shade for our deck, which gets full afternoon sun. This will allow us to enjoy our new deck even more this Summer. Highly recommend!!!

We love our pergola! Took about 3 hours for my & my husband to put together. (He IS handy.) This being steel is heavier & sturdier than others I was looking at. It’s not going anywhere! At first, I didn’t want a pergola that opened up in the middle, but it’s actually better! So we can just draw one side if needed. The rods that meet in the middle are magnetized so they stay in place. The canopy provides shade, but is not waterproof. It is heavier than expected, so I think it will last a few seasons. We keep the canopy drawn back when not in use to prevent wear & tear, and birds from making a home. Our patio footprint is 12x10 so this fit perfectly on it. I think this is a great buy to make an oasis in your backyard.
