Excellent Travel Bag - Personal Item Size
on October 9, 2024

The bag works well as a personal item that can fit under the seat in front of you on a plane. The straps and back panel use mesh and farm making it breathable and comfortable. There is also an air channel in the middle. The back also has a luggage pass through that allows for the backpack to sit vertically on rolling luggage. The main compartment is spacious enough for 3-4 days of non winter clothing if you’re using compressible packing cubes. The laptop compartment can hold a 16 inch laptop but not very beefy 16 inch laptops. It doesn’t have a cushioned elevated bottom for your laptop, so be aware of that.

Slim Backpack for Business or Traveling
on October 13, 2024

This has been a great little bag. I’m using it primarily for a business backpack which has worked out extremely well. It holds a 14” laptop and external travel monitor in separate partitions easily without crowding or worrying about damage. There are multiple outside accessible pockets great for small, slim items such as notepads. The main compartment has a nifty array of storage options for pens, mouse, cables, passport etc. For lightweight traveling for business, I have been super impressed with this bag. I was coming from a huge backpack that weighed a ton. The Platinum Elite Slim Backpack has replaced that one with ease and nothing left out at about half the weight and size. This bag fits easily underseat as well as has the little strap so it sits over the extended handle of your luggage. I could easily add an iPad into this bag with no crowding or worries on top of my monitor and laptop. My only wish, and this is terribly nit-picky as the inner main compartment has a closable pouch inside, is I would really like key clip on the inside. I live in constant fear while traveling I’ll lose my car keys. Otherwise, this is an excellent Backpack.

Organizational Nirvana

I love this bag. The straps are very comfy and don’t aggravate my neck/shoulder issue. I always look for a laptop backpack that also has a top handle, and this one does. Great for grabbing and hanging up on a hook in my office.
Organization is my jam, so the number of sections, compartments, and pockets makes me very happy. I can slip my mouse in one pocket and my charging cable in the other. There is plenty of room for my Remarkable and other items, with room to spare.
The adjustable water bottle pocket is great for larger cups. I love that these pockets are on the outside, and not inside the bag. Much safer for electronics.
The backpack has the right amount of padding for protection of laptops and other items.
I’ve received loads of compliments on my new bag. It’s a keeper!

Platinum Practicality

Pockets upon pockets, with well-positioned padding. First backpack I have seen with an interior ID theft block pocket for credit cards and passport protection. Nice padding on the shoulder straps and the back for electronic protection and comfort. I liked the front forward expanding pocket, no worries of contents falling out. I would have preferred one of the side pockets to have more flexible expansion, other than zipper. I only have a good rating on the durability and style categories, as I haven’t traveled with the bag. Overall, a well designed backpack that I can use for years to come with just enough leather accents for a professional appearance.

Almost very good

I bought this to match my carry on I really enjoy. This is good but one little flaw stops me from rating a 5. The zipper for the major compartment catches at two points when unzipping and you must back it up and redo. It is not enough to return, it just is.

Good for petite women and holds two laptops
on January 13, 2025

I’m a petite 5’2” and wanted a smaller scale pack that does a four things: is lightweight but still durable, has room for two laptops and cables/mice, doesn’t overwhelm my smaller frame, and can carry my leather hand bag in the main compartment. This does three out of four well. Negatives: the internal compartment is separated by a nylon gusset which is designed to hold things inside when the back is fully open. But this gusset makes it challenging to put my handbag into the backpack. I can get it to fit, but it takes a little patience to put it into the gusseted pocket. I could have purchased the next size up to the business pack but it would have been too big for me. The other negative is the lack of a chest strap. When I’m carrying two laptops (or anything else heavy), the strap would help with weight distribution.

International Travel tests your patience, mobility, and your luggage, especially during the Christmas and New Year Rush. I've had other TravelPro Luggage, and they were just O. K. . I've upgraded to TravelPro Platinum Elite as this is the line that earned TravelPro the highest marks. Now we're talking Quality – Durability - Performance across the board.
