Failed on first Charge

Received this light and thought it was build well however I started to charge it and immediately noticing it was heating up pretty quickly. Took it off the charger and the battery had melted. (Used the included cable injunction with a basic iPhone charger)
Website doesn’t offer much information beyond the basic specifications. No instructions, no FAQ section, no downloadable manuals.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sorry to hear that the battery melted on you. That's uncommon and would definitely fall under the Lifetime Warranty for the product! Go ahead and give our Warranty Department a call at 1-888-530-8245 and we'd be more than happy to replace your light with a brand new one!

I received this flashlight as part of a subscription box and charged it overnight. It won't turn on and batteries don't fit. I literally don't know why they made this product. It's junk .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

really bright, sturdy & rechargable!

Bought this flash light a few months ago, super bright but the on/off button didn't work properly. I contacted Coast & they were FANTASTIC! Super easy replacement (lifetime warranty) & quick communication, will continue to buy their products just because of their great communication! Only complaint would be that the USB is connected directly to the light instead of a cord which could create better flexibility for charging situations.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Flashlight glows dimly , goes bright and flickers ; It will not throw a steady beam.

Dont hold a charge for more than a week. (UPDATE)

Finally gave up, threw both of them in the garbage. Buying 2 more regular HX5 and using my own recharchable batteries. Had 2 HX5 for many yrs.wore them out.

Won’t turn off

Just pulled it out the box brand new, turned it on and now it won’t turn off. Even after it goes through the modes it still stays on!! HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. Don’t buy unless you want a flashlight that won’t turn off

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This flashlight is small but seems really sturdy and well made. Love the two light levels and the USB charging feature. My daughter loves it and says it is fancy! Would definitely recommend to others.
