Misunderstood

By far the best set Lego has released to date. Anyone not happy with this due to not receiving the Gift With Purchase should be ashamed. The set itself is outstanding and just for not receiving something that was *FREE* to begin with should not rob themselves of the joy and meaning behind this set. It took 30 years for this colab to happen. Set aside your inner childish traume, don’t throw a tantrum, and enjoy this amazing build. You won’t regret the outcome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This piece was super fun to build. It took 2 days so I was able to spread it out. The details are amazing. Best part I didn’t have to apply my own stickers

Here’s a quick review of LEGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise: this massive 6,838-piece set is an incredible collector’s piece that finally brings the original Kanto starter final evolutions to brick form with detailed, poseable builds and a themed biomes display base, making it a spectacular centerpiece for Pokémon fans who love big, nostalgic LEGO builds. The figures (especially Charizard) offer decent articulation and recognizable proportions, and the environmental base adds nice visual flair, but some builders feel the trio works better as standalone models rather than one combined scene and question the high price and bulky bases that don’t connect seamlessly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product, with the premium price

I grew up watching Pokémon as a kid and this set brings back memories. I like how you can detach from the base the pokemon to display on their own. A lot of people complain that the base is unnecessary and adds too much to the price point but I think the product wouldn’t feel as premium if it weren’t for the base.
Please do a Gyarados set next!!

I love everything about this set. The trio looks amazing. Looking at this set takes me back to 1996 I remember like it was yesterday when the first episode aired and I've been hooked ever since. I have a happy core memory that im able to display and enjoy. Thank you Lego!
