READ the instructions!! This is a good meat grinder but you would think that being that you are grinding meat that all parts would be dishwasher safe. Unfortunately I assumed that before reading the booklet entry on cleaning. The metal parts are NOT dishwasher safe and will tarnish if not hand washed. I would rather pay a little more and have parts that can be placed in the dishwasher. Otherwise it's a good product.

We alteady have another brand of meat grinder. we received this one as a gift. We like this one so much better. Its does a great job and itt is easier tio clean then the other unit. Wish there was more plates sizes available..

Excellent for home use. Love it. Used a Kitchen Aide attachment for 30 years that finally needed replaceent. This is so much faster and easier. Considering the price of the Kitchen Aid grinder attachment and the price of the Cuisinart grinder, the Cuisinart is the better buy if you are one that grinds your own beef and pork.
